We live in a beautiful rural location five miles from the town of Oban, on the West coast of Scotland. We have a flower garden and a separate vegetable patch as well as an extensive wildflower meadow and woodland. We need help from now to early November with tidying the garden, mowing and strimming the meadow. We are looking for 1 or 2 cheerful, adaptable, nonsmoking omnivores who will help us for an average of 25 hrs or so per week (jobs are very weather dependent). You would live as part of our family and accommodation and all meals are provided in our modern home, with free wifi. Oban is known as the Gateway to the Isles and is a great centre for exploring the West Highlands.
We are now retired but spent our working life running a big charter yacht which means we are used to living at close quarters with different people each week.

We are looking for someone who has fantastic cleaning skills and an eye for detail, as well being friendly and welcoming to guests.

Mostly the tasks will be helping cleaning- but as everything is so new, it is a joy! As we are now getting busier there will also be help needed on reception welcoming guests, so a reasonable level of English would be an advantage.

We are looking for honest, nice, friendly people who are happy to be on Skye and help out!

As well as accommodation in one of our luxury beds (with curtains!) we also offer free internet, laundry and tea & coffee. There is a great little village shop just down the hill from us.
We would like someone who can stay for at least a month.

We have recently moved into a unique property that was once the vegetable garden for Rosneath Castle (now demolished). The garden has been totally redesigned and comprises 1.5 acres of formal garden, a half acre of organic vegetable garden and five acres of woodland. We would love some enthusiastic folks with a real can do approach to come and help us with all sorts of things from organic gardening, wood cutting some inside refurbishment work and general maintenance. We are a couple in our fifties working full time ...heading towards retirement when we can spend most of our time outdoors.
In the meantime, we would love you to come and help us and in return we will provide ensuite accommodation and all meals. We would love you to work the equivalent of 28 per week but you are free to put in the hours as suits you...all upfront or 4 hours per day...we are very flexible about that.
