Come and enjoy a peaceful rural retreat in our painted caravan ( see photo) it is very simple with just a bed and a little woodburner. We live on a South facing smallholding 1400' high in the Welsh Cambrian mountains, we also have a bell tent ( see photo) to stay in during the summer months up on the terraces if you prefer more privacy or if there are more people staying. The caravan sleeps one person or a couple (one double bed) We now have another caravan with a double bed which hasn't yet been painted or converted, it still has gas heating and an electric light.
Washing facilities are in our family house and there is a separate toilet ( flushed using a bucket of water) in the studio. We cook in the kitchen in our family house, and eat communally, we are also building an outside kitchen. We eat together outside mostly in the summer and in the family house when it's colder.
We are looking for people to stay here on a short term basis who want to be outside in nature and want the... more inside

*We are now looking for someone to live in with us and help over the winter months. Plenty of mucking out and riding young horses on offer.*

There is plenty of horse riding on offer but you must be under 14 stone, and a competent rider - our horses are not suitable for beginners or novices.

We always appreciate a helping hand in our small family-run horse riding holiday business, which we run from a traditional Welsh farm nestled in a secret valley in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. We have approximately 60 Welsh cobs, most of which are bred here on the farm, and we host guests here in our B&B, so there's plenty to keep us busy. We are looking for people to help with mostly outdoor tasks as well as looking after the horses of course - gardening, digging out new paths, fencing, filling in pot holes, painting fences etc - also some indoor work like painting walls if the weather is bad! Horse work includes mucking out, exercising horses, helping move them to winter homes. But we ... more inside

We are at the early stages of restoring an old, large and characterful building, parts of which date to the 14th Century, with a walled garden, orchard and vegetable patch. We'll be creating a small yoga studio, accommodation rooms and community spaces. In the medium to long term we hope the site will host retreats and small scale events.

We need help with all kinds of work, including:
* helping with chores, keeping the house clean and tidy
* looking after the greenhouse and veg patch
* taking care of the chickens and cats

We (Pete and Sophia) moved to the Welsh Borders in February 2017. Having spent a couple of years travelling in our campervan, HelpXing and living in the Alps. It felt like the time to put down some roots & begin a new adventure. We are both 33 & have a young energetic German Shorthaired Pointer, called Juno. We are looking for liberal-minded people with a 'can do' disposition to help alongside us and share wine/beer by a fire some evenings. We see this as a great opportunity to meet new people & we loved our time HelpX-ing. We want you (anyone volunteering with us) to have a great time & we'll do all we can to make sure you're happy and have things to do that you enjoy.

This place, our new home, consists of 10 acres of woods; a crazily overgrown garden; a pond; a timber frame house (which we are living in and renovating); plus a little woodland cabin (featured in the pictures below).

We are looking for volunteers to help us get to grips with the woodland and garden from Septe... more inside

Communally run 80-acre organic farm. We eat, work & make decisions together whilst sharing a large Welsh stone farmhouse and its outbuildings. We aim to live as lightly as we can with deep consideration and respect for our planet, each other and ourselves. All our power is produced by sun, wind, and water; we grow as much of our food as we can, we use our tractor for carting and haymaking, goats for milk and cheese and aspire to live life slowly enough to enjoy the rich pleasures of this glorious land.

Unfortunately, we can't accept volunteers flying just to spend time with us as the environmental cost of flying far out-weighs the benefit of your visit. Please see our website and Facebook page for more info.

During our volunteer weeks, we offer meals and accommodation for about 5.5 hours of helping a day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and about 3.5 hours work on a Wednesday morning. At the weekend, and on Wednesday afternoon, your time is your own, to explore the surro... more inside

This farm is a 43 acre site. Mostly ancient woodland in the most beautiful little valley south of Brechfa. The cothi valley. There's a roundhouse, yurt, tipis, sauna, compost toilet, natural springs, woodsheds, geodesic dome greenhouse, 500+ soft fruit bushes and young forest garden.
I'm looking for help in building structures, planting more fruit and nut trees and herbs, gathering berries, making medicine/tinctures from the plants etc.

Welcome to our bit of madness!!! "Madness?" you ask. Well, we are trying to establish a forest garden on 2.5 ish acres of North facing, tree shaded land.
Forest gardens are difficult in a temperate climate anyway, we just enjoy a challenge! All that said we live in a beautiful home and a magical setting, no visible neighbours, the only houses we see are across the water on Anglesey. We are in the foothills of Snowdonia and have great walks starting from the house, Aber Falls being an hours walk over the hill.
This year we are doing a bit of building work, starting with a TreeBog!(Started) Maybe a decking to erect a 10 foot yurt on (One of those jobs I've thought about for 2 years and should crack on with.
The Helpers accommodation is a rather nice hut at the bottom of the garden with a double sleeping platform.
We have a dog Beany
Johnny works the garden and helps a couple of days in our shop.
Jo , Johnny and daughter Ceri have owned a local health food store for 16 yea... more inside
