There is an old house which needs a lot of work, as well as the destillery!! Creative people are welcome as well as people who are just interested in making new experiences. We are an English couple who now live in Germany along with a few sheep, hens, ducks, quail, rabbits, cats and Perdy the Dalmatian dog. We have a big veg patch ,lots of fruit trees etc.

We are in an undiscovered part of Germany east of Dresden. The village of Cunewalde is said to be the most beautiful valley in Saxony. Lots of walking/cycling through forest trails and open fields. Bautzen (a wonderful medieval town) is a 20 min bus-ride away. Berlin 2 and a half hours by car and Prague a little closer.

As well as general help with the garden, fruit trees and animals I am looking for people next year to help make some gates. If you fancy some major work the barn needs LOTS of work too.

Our work routine starts at 7.30 and we work until 10.30. We stop for breakfast then and afterwards (depending on weather and what we are working on) we continue work, go out for a trip, or just have free time. The evening routine starts again at 4.00 with the round of animal tasks and ga... more inside

Hello My name is Rasmus.
Originally i come from Denmark but now i live in Wendland, Lower-Saxony where i have a Timberframed House which i am renovating.
My profession is Carpentry, and i prefer to use building-materials which traditionally has been used over time such as Clay, Wood, natural stones etc. Actually im recycling the House and there is some work to do :) This place is also a place for Creative people, such as Artists and musicians. I myself play music, make Ceramics And i Like to Cook;) Feel that my task is to create a place were People can meet and learn from each other..

Prezier is a qute little roundabout-village with 59 inhabitans, and with a great community. It is said that prezier is over 1000 years old and there is clearly some hints that the village was established in a time where Christianity was not present here.

Im fluent in English, German and Danish/Norwegian.

Hope to see you soon :)
Best regards
Rasmus

Hi there,

This place is for people who like to be in nature but still not to far from the city. I live here in a beautiful house with a big garden at the edge of the small town Sehnde right next to the Mittelland-canal.Since four years my house is a small guesthouse.

If the weather is nice you could borrow a bicycle and enjoy a ride. There are two small lakes which invite for a swim on hot summer days and lots of fields and small roads, only used by farmers. Most groceries can be bought in Sehnde and the closest city is Hannover, only half an hour by train.

The work in springtime is weeding the flowerbeds, preparing the vegetable beds, scarify the lawn and other things.

In Summer there is always some weeding to do, mowing the lawn, picking vegetables and fruits, making jams and always some projects.

In Autumn work might be cutting back trees and bushes, raking the lawn, collecting fallen apples from the ground, stacking firewood and other things.

Aside from ... more inside

Our home village is in the Sauerland region (one hour from Dortmund). We are are full of enthusiasm about various projects on our property, which we are sharing with Maria's parents. Tending to the large vegetable and fruit garden to grow organic produce for ourselves and local people, getting firewood, keeping the grounds beautiful - there is plenty to do. There are also opportunities for some DIY jobs indoors, although the old farmhouse has already been renovated to a very comfortable standard. We would love to welcome people with an interest in sustainability and community living, who are willing to work for about 4-5 hours/day, 5 days/week, in exchange for food and accommodation (own room if one person, shared if two, sharing bathroom and rest of house with us).

We are Maria (47), Jürgen (48) and cats Bruno and Mauresmo, most happy to share about our experiences in the Findhorn community. We have an interest in Non-Violent Communication and other tools in line with our philos... more inside

Living with a half Icelandic/ half German family

Located in the west of Germany in an outskirt town of Paderborn, our house is situated near a park which boasts several options for various outdoor activities. In a 5 min walking distance you will have the option to learn how to sail in a sail club, go mini-golfing, inline skating, cycle around, make some friends playing Volley- or Basketball, or simply relax and take a walk around the lake. A 10 min bicycle ride away, you will be able to learn waterskiing or wake-boarding with Award winning European champions. Believe me, you won’t get bored!

Katrin and two of her four children live in Iceland during the year and come to Germany during summer. Therefor there’s always some work to be done in the garden and around the house.

Volunteers will participate in gardening and help out with things that need to be done around the house. They are expected to work approximately 4 hours a day, 5 days per week. Depending on your own work... more inside

We are a small family (Mirko (38), Karin (38), Emil (5), Alma (3), dog Nino ( 10), cat Mogli (2), 3-5 Hens (2 years) and live in a second hand house next to the forest in a small village called Brensbach in the Odenwald area (Germany). This is around 60km from Frankfurt am Main (Airport). We are renovating the house since 2015 and many things have been realised inside the house by now. Now our big project is the GARDEN.

We want to transfer the garden into a PERMACULTURE GARDEN.

We grow some of our own veggies/fruits already and buy at a local farmer shop (bio-dynamically produced food).
We reduced plastic in our everyday life and cook with fresh veggies and products.

Mirko is a social worker and Karin is doing workshops for women in nature.

We need HELP IN the HOUSE and in the GARDEN:

Inside: help making pasta, baking bread, making jam

Outside: cut bushes and trees, help with the the garden care and harvest, dig soil-terraces, carry stones to stabilize the g... more inside
