Help needed!... Autumn is here and it is a super busy time in the mountains

Helpers from all over this planet are welcome to the Sierra Nevada Mountains to help and to learn about eco living

Great opportunity to learn about growing rare vegetables and eco-building a traditional stone cortijo

We are starting a large biological, organic, vegetable garden with heritage seed and have new fruit and nut trees, woodlands and waterways to look after

We need helpers now that the weather is perfect for work sessions and camping out in the cool under the stars and Milky Way at night

This year the focus is mainly on eco-building with stone although help with the vegetable gardens, fruit trees and general assiatance with food preparation and other domestic and farm tasks is also appreciated

Founded by a music industry man who built or modified his previous houses to include small music workshops but always ended up with large music workshops and no house, this project is the ... more inside

Please note;We prefere volunteers over 25, otherwise we end up feeling more like parents than hosts! aLSO we cant usually book in volunteers more than ten days before a placement.
We are a family of f0ur with a son and daughter,Oliver at home most of the time where he is remote working in computing, and Isobel working in Madrid. We have a small stone built moorish style house with spacious comfortable 2 bedroomed rental anexe.(see photos below) This is where we accomodate volunteers. Hello,

We are a retired couple (AUS/GB) living in an old stone farmhouse in the hills, 90 kilometres from Barcelona, close to the Pyrenees. There is no farm anymore, just a big garden and forest. No animals except for 2 dogs.

Apart from the vegetable garden, we are interested in ornamental plants that withstand hostile conditions: no water, poor soil, extreme temperatures.

We need help in the garden and in maintaining the forest for fire prevention. Helpers have comfortable accommodation in private rooms in the house (all mod cons, including WiFi), good food and wine.

Attractive area, wild and hilly, peaceful; easy going, friendly atmosphere.

There is video of Pedrafita. To watch it copy and paste the link on your browser:

I am setting up an eco campsite which will provide budget accommodation for travellers. I have a piece of land and permission to build, but will need help with a range of jobs, from clearing and preparing the land, to cooking for volunteers during the build. I would like helpers to work an average of 4 hours per day, in return for food and accommodation, but there is some room for flexibility, depending on circumstances.

The land is a 10 minute walk from the town of Vera, which has good public transport links, banks, supermarkets, etc. It is a 10 minute drive to the nearest beach, where you will find a long, beautiful coastline, with plenty of activities, bar and restaurants. Other nearby attractions include Tabernas, with its 'Mini-Hollywood' where many spaghetti westerns are filmed, and the beautiful Cabo de Gata national park, with a range of untouched beaches. There are also facilities for go-karting, horse-riding and a water park nearby.

Work will start in September 2017 ... more inside

LANGUAGE EXCHANGE IN PICTURESQUE CANTABRIA

PLEASE READ OUR FULL PROFILE BEFORE APPLYING and be aware that we can only accommodate ONE person at a time for a maximum period of TEN days.

ABOUT US:
I’m a Spanish teacher from Brazil, married without children. Since I've been working as a private tutor for children, I'm busy teaching and preparing my classes from September until June (Spanish academic year). Apart from that, twice a week I do voluntary work teaching Spanish, mainly to refugees and asylum seekers. My husband works for the health service. Both of us can speak English and Spanish, besides that my mother tongue is Portuguese and I can get by in French.

As I have stated, for personal reasons, we can only host ONE volunteer for maximum TEN days at a time. And as much as I like good conversation (about politics, environment or culture), I also like to be quiet, chatting with my husband or doing my own things.

Speaking about us, we’re eco-friendly (recycling every... more inside
