Har HaRuach Farm is an amazing farm just 15 minutes from Jerusalem, located in the middle of the Hamisha Forest. Our farm hosts a herd of goats, chickens, shepherding dogs, and a large garden. We make all natural, cold process soap and dolce de leche with the goat's milk.

We strike to provide the most natural environment for our animals. As for the goats, we do the milking by hand every day at regular hours and they eat outdoors during the long grazing hours. The chickens are entirely free-range; with an open coop they come and go as they please.

Help is needed with milking, herding, working the garden, and other day to day farm tasks. Each volunteer receives their own private wood cabin room. Communal kitchen, wc, and shower.

We require a minimum of a one month commitment with preference for longer stays. Please send us a message for more details if you are interested!

CURRENTLY UNABLE TO ACCEPT VOLUNTEERS DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER

Regenerative agriculture is about discovering how to grow food as a part of the natural cycles of nature, and restoring them in the process. This means that I am simultaneously trying to regenerate the local natural forest while growing fruit and vegetables in the same location.

It is an odyssey of discovery in all of ecology, farming and human nature, and involves re-inventing almost every aspect and area of life.

The farm has no buildings, no electricity, no toilets, no waste disposal. I live a moneyless, transportless lifestyle. All food is either grown, gathered or gleaned. Diet is 90%+ organic (sometimes I glean from non-organic neighbors). I usually do not cook, just eat everything raw as is. You can cook in the sun or on a wood fire if you wish, pots are available.

You are invited to come and be part of this fascinating journey.

The approach here goes beyond commonly practiced farming techniques such ... more inside

We have a small goat farm, producing organic cheeses, our goats go out to graze in the valleys around the village.
We are situated in southern Israel.
We provide separate accommodation, a two bedroom building with sitting room/kitchen, toilet and shower, electricity, water, gas, fridge, washing machine, and we provide all the food, which you cook yourselves.
Work begins early morning, takeing the goats out to graze in the valleys, help with cheese making, and other "bits and bobs" about the farm. Bus reaches our village once a day.
About 4 hours of work in the morning and then early evening 2 hours, compulsory 1 day off during the week and if you want more, we are very easy with that.
We will be very happy to answer any questions you might have. health insurance is a must, as medical treatment in Israel can be very expensive. We like helpers to stay a month or more. ( it takes about 2 weeks to learn the work)

Take a unique opportunity to immerse in the local culture in Nazareth and experience the beautiful historical city as an insider!

We are looking for independent, curious travellers who have 6-10 weeks on their hands and would like to really get to know the north of Israel and the Arab culture.

Our hostel is a gorgeous two century-old stone house located in the heart of Nazareth, the largest city in the mountainous Galilee region of northern Israel. This is a unique guest house in the lovely Israeli desert, right by Macktesh Ramon (Ramon Crater) and the town of Mitzpe Ramon.

We offer authentic tent accommodation, private domes, camping for backpackers and inspirational workshops, all just a few minutes’ walk from all the services you need in town (bank, supermarket, clinic, etc.)

The atmosphere is all about living 'Out Doors'. It is really cold in the winter, and hot in the summer - although the desert weather makes everything nicer:)
Other then solar light, there is no electricity in the site (Computers and cell phones can be charged in town).
Clean and organized toilets and showers are available on the site, with hot water 24/7.

The work is basically welcoming the guests, showing them around, being there for any help or questions, and always keeping the place nice and clean.

This is a shelter for Backpackers and low budget Travelers in Jerusalem which cannot afford the wild prices of the city. We are very personal and sweet, we go out dancing at nights, camp with bonfire and guitars on the beach of dead sea when good weather comes, and we hang a lot as a gang, rather than just give bed and take money... Almost Couchsurfing. The project is not really profitable but it's by biggest fun in life. Volunteers who helped here became part of this place's history and you can consult with them. The experiences and skills you may earn here will be priceless !
