Hi there;
We are a family of four with two teenagers boys. We are easy going, hard workers and we go to sleep early as we have to get up to go to work at 3:30 in the morning.
It would suit someone with flexible hours and willing to help around doing shores.
I am always looking for helpers, there are always things that need to be done at home... Things that I can not do or they do not get done often like clean windows, carpet, pantry, prepare and freeze food and even a bit of garden work.

I would expect minimal of 4-5 hours of work daily and extra help at dinner time as well as tidy up afterwards... If you are not willing to help to cook dinner and do dishes then this may not be the place for you. We usually take turns or we all help at once.

We are walking distance to the bus stop and very close to all amenities like shopping areas, mount beach, parks, hot pools, walking tracks, etc. There are so many things to do in this area but you may need to take the bus to get anyw... more inside

We have a spare room with own facilities and sea views. Delighted to offer it to anyone keen and able to help with a variety of manual orchard, garden and home maintenance tasks.

Avocado orchard of 600 trees, lies to the sun, tucked into a private little valley overlooking the ocean. Sunny, sheltered and warm the block has lots of birds and an easy spot to spend the day. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and the Dune Cycle Trail to town starts at the gate.
Work is varied and usually interesting.Sometimes hard yakka often cruisy e.g. mulching, picking, pruning, weeding, planting, gardening, housework, building, renovating, walking Bruno(woof) to the beach.etc.
Before work we love to play badminton, slackline, read and leisurely breakfast on the deck. When we work we work. Evenings we might go swimming, light a fire on the beach, stay home in front of the fire, bbq, play cards or parlor games, listen to music, watch a movie, soak in the outside tub.We do enjoy a good pinot.

We, Al and Karen are the managers of an outdoor education centre and lodge. We are surrounded by native bush in the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park at the top of Wright Road, south of Katikati. Our primary mission is to provide opportunities for school and youth groups to learn about and enjoy the N.Z. bush, to undertake challenging activities that develop life skills, a positive personal attitude and teamwork. We also cater for social groups and host weddings and other events.

We are looking for people who love working with kids, helping with rock climbing & archery. We need some help from the 6th -10th February and again in April 9th - 13th. We will provide full training. If outdoor pursuits is your thing you will love helping out here.

We eat well and healthy but prefer not to cater for vegans.

The lodge is 18km from Katikati. Your own transport will give you more flexibility and freedom, but we can also help with transport into Katikati and occasionally to Tauranga.... more inside

We have a permaculture lifestyle block located in Tauraga overlooking the Wairoa River that is developing a food forest system. It has a home based business on the site of an older style cottage, A shipping container Cabin under conversion, chickens, a cat, goats, a Nashi orchard, fruit trees and various permaculture gardens. The main tasks are working on the grounds and general maintenance for the venue and helping on our on-site community permaculture garden and buildings. With spring here the focus is on weeding and property maintenance. In return for 4 hours work a day, wholesome food and accommodation will be provided. While you stay you can kayak the river over the road from the property, and access to the creative resources. We are on a 3 acre rural shared lifestyle block which is 15 minutes drive to central Tauranga.

I have a flatmate now and will not be able to host anyone else.

Ideally I would prefer single people and those not too young and would prefer short stays during the working week( not Friday,Saturday or Sunday nights)
Staying with me would be a good option for people who want to be in Rotorua for a few days and don't mind doing some work to cover their accommodation. After some years of hosting couchsurfers I find that having some wonderful meetings no longer compensates for the increased cleaning and laundry. This is why I would rather host people who come with the expectation of doing some work around the place. I would prefer two hours input a day with you providing your own food, but that is not to say that we wouldn't enjoy some meals together. You will have an area in the fridge for your food and you can use my spices and oils so you don't have to buy them.
I would be happy to have occasional help with normal housework and cleaning, probably not cooking. If you are a ... more inside

We are a married couple with two boys age 3 and 5 and two dogs, two cats.
We are looking for a cheerful helper around the home, who loves looking after and playing with children, interested in helping out with family chores including cleaning, cooking, baking and gardening. We like to go on beach and bush walks on our time off and swimming in the summer months. You would have your own room with double bed, unlimited WIFI and hopefully some interesting kiwi experiences. There is a bus stop into town or nearby beaches only 2 mins walk from the house for you to fill in your own time.
