Little star farm is located in the coastal hinterland of the Mid North Coast of NSW. 1 hour from Coffs Harbour, 30 minutes from pristine beaches and 25 minutes from the pacific highway we are located half way between Brisbane and Sydney.

This is a small family operated organic farmstay and bee sanctuary with over 100 beehives and a market garden delivering fresh fruit and vegetables and natural bush honey to our local community and beyond. We are a family of 4 including 2 children ages 5 and 9 who attend the local Steiner school.

We have an abundance of Australian wildlife on our property including an array of native birds, kangaroos, water dragons, and goannas and are a registered property under Land for Wildlife.

We also run educational courses and retreats on our 100 acres with a pristine creek meandering through the property and local waterhole for swimming nearby.

On offer is a self contained space to suit a single adult, couple or small family in exchange for supp... more inside

We have 30 acres of beautiful untouched bushland basically on the border of the southern highlands and tablelands about an hour and a half from Canberra. We are completely off grid for our power needs, we have a good quality composting toilet system, tank water, solar hot water and wood heating. Our home is simple but comfortable made from storage containers.
We are looking for someone (or couple) likeminded to put their camper, van or tent on the property as a caretakerish type role. Could be someone wanting a break, wanting to learn to live off grid, trying before going it themselves or to get back to this living. Would also suit a working visa as you may be able to pick up work in the area and we are welcoming to people visiting our wonderful country. Free to stay and house available for cooking and showering. We need this person to "fit", have basic skills for this type of life, absolutely love wildlife (having worked with wildlife rehab a bonus), honest and willing to learn f... more inside

I am ideally looking for a couple or two friends for mostly outdoor work but am happy to take single travellers too.

My small hobby farm is set high on a hill with great views across the valley. There are cows, pigs, chickens and a dog. I also have a timber plantation.

I am looking for help for four hours five days a week. In exchange I provide all meals and accommdation for the whole week. The work is mostly outdoors, weeding, brush cutting and some property maintenance. People with DIY, fencing and carpentry skills are also very welcome. Help with dinner preperation and or clean up is additional to those hours.

Accommodation is in a separate almost self-contained area with shared bathroom that is perfect for couples. There is also another double bedroom. You can help yourselves to breakfast and lunch and we can cook and eat the evening meal together. I raise some of my own meat here so meat eaters are preferred although vegetarians can be catered for.

I am easy... more inside

A magical property with waterfalls, swimming holes, bushwalks, permaculture gardens, fruit orchids, recording studios & lots of wildlife, close to Mullumbimby town & Byron Bay beaches.

HELP WE NEED
The help exchange is about 25hrs a week. Usually 5 hrs a day, 5 days a week, so there's 2 full days off each week. Or, if you want more full days off , you can work three 8ish hr days & have the rest of the week for other adventures.

Mostly we need help with cleaning & gardening projects: weeding, planting, mulching, looking after the vegie garden & for those that can handle machines: ride on mowing & whippersnipping.

We are particularly keen to have people with: building, carpentry, plumbing, bricklaying, tiling, electrical, sewing, IT (web design), audio & video skills, as we have many projects on the go.

We also do audio visual installations at events on the weekends & often need help setting up & operating sound systems, lights & video projects.

We have a diary on the mid north coast and need some help around the garden, orchard and maintaining the house. We live right near (1.5km) from the Pacific Highway and only a short drive from many beautiful beaches and bush locations.

The cottage shown in the first image is self contained and has a single bed and double sofa bed. It is offered in exchange for 4 hours daily of work per person...leaving plenty of time for exploring the beautiful environment around us. Free wifi and pick up from local train station.

Non smokers only.

Living in our patch of paradise 50 mins from city Sydney, this is a water access only house (ferry, taxi and lifts with us at times across the bay).

Hi I am Shelley and I live with my two gorgeous kids aged 15 and 17 on the side of a lush hill on an Island north of Sydney, it's a unique friendly community with many beautiful birds and waterfalls, walks, climbing, cafes and more nearby. We love travellers and look forward to hosting you for a short stay of a week, looking for 4 hours a day help - can be flexible (gardening, clearing leaf litter, wood splitting if able or general house work) in exchange for private room, breakfast and dinner.

Our home better suits vegetarians or vegans if you're unable to abstain from eating red meat and pork whilst here. We do eat chicken and fish but due to life threatening allergies to red meat and pork in our house we ask that guests do not bring those products here... the risk of cross contaminating our cooking area is too great. It's my ... more inside
