I have an organic garden with poly-tunnel and an ornamental garden
A particular kind of life style
Experience self sufficiency here, and sustainable living, where food comes from, how water and the house is heated
I produce my own electricity from Solar panels and a water turbine
Main things to do are around the garden, weeding, transplanting, grass cutting and so on.
There is also wood chipping gathering and stacking wood. We go down to the sea nearby and collect seaweed.
Accommodation is in an another house near the main house, there is room upstairs for 2 people sharing. It does not have central heating but a masonry wood stove you can fire up once a day to keep the damp out. Also I have a caravan near the stream when there is a couple in the guest house
All meals are in the main house. Breakfast you make your self and we share lunch and dinner.
I have a keen interest in Self sufficiency and sustainable living

this means also turning off switches and saving... more inside

Ciao! Sei disponibile? Are you available for July/ August/ September? We need someone to help work in the garden with us; digging, hedge cutting, wood chopping etc. also carpentry projects. We are looking for a guy with experience / talent to help us with a project working in stone and cement and doing pointing work. We're looking for a resourceful person who also enjoys quiet time, and doesn't mind being alone. We would love to meet some people from Italy to exchange language skills and help us with Italian grammar and conversation. We need someone to help us from late June until late August.

We are a couple running a small hotel on a beautiful island off the west coast of Ireland. We need someone to help us out during school holidays in July and August to do a few hours child minding for our 10 year old daughter who has extra needs. You may also do some work in the hotel garden. You will get your own room in a staff house where you can cook your own meals if you wish on your days off. Meals will be provided from the hotel when you are working.
You must enjoy and have experience of working with young children. We are looking for someone with a sense of fun who likes nature and the outdoors and who is also happy to play with our daughter. Experience of working with children with Down syndrome would be helpful, but most important is kindness, patience and an active imagination!

Hi,

We are a family of five with three young children. We need help with childminding and doing jobs around the house and garden. We live in Schull a beautiful part of West Cork. We are an easy going family with part-time jobs and lots of interests. Our house is in the countryside by the mountains and close to the sea. It is possible to cycle to Schull from our house.

We need someone who is independent and confident, someone who enjoys children and will be able to work away on their own initiative.

We are offering a lovely room with a view beside a bathroom with WiFi. We love food and you can be assured that while staying with us you will eat well.
