Need help with tomato pruning and tying before I go north for xmas. Anyone want to come visit???
Both Dave and I are Zoologists and keen naturalists, loving to bird watch and quietly explore the rainforest creeks, gullies and fantastic sculptured rock pools of our Doyles River which wraps around the land and drops through 200m of cascades, spas and waterfall pools.
The rain we had at last (after 3 months with only 11mm)followed a dry, as dry as its ever been hereand I'm hand watering the vegies. Most of the summer seedlings are in and we are now harvesting the last of the winter crops and planting lots of kinds of beans, tomatoes and curcurbits for summer salads. Heaps of strawberries, raspberries and citrus.
The pantry of tasty preserves is well stocked and the olives are going into their final herby brine. Interested in using the woodstove? We can make new preserves and some great meals together.
We've been slashing and raking mulch for compost and keeping the 25kms of fores... more inside

Hello we are a friendly queer couple and we have just bought a beautiful property in Terania Creek.

We have 14 highland cattle , 10 large black pigs 2 wolfhound X mastiffs called Billy and Ninja, 5 turkeys and chickens. Our plan from here is to produce local free range meat products as well as small goods.

We need help -
clearing weeds down by our stream and from around the property
creating tracks
building platforms for tents
Fencing is always needed in areas where we intend to rotate our pastures
Feeding the animals
Planting native trees and shrubs
Bush regeneration

Our house is 100 years old and needs help as well. It would be great to get some basic building tips from someone experienced as well as help with the electrics.
There is loads to do here but you are surrounded by magical views, wildlife, 10000 of birds, barmy weather, waterfalls and warm and welcoming community.

Work hours would be 8am-1pm, 5 days a week. Negotiable of course. In exchange for ... more inside

At present we are completing unfinished projects and getting ready for xmas.

We welcome helpers who are willing hard workers, enthusiastic and happy to work mostly outside. Food preparation skill are always appreciated and experience with power tools.

We will be involved with some local community projects, as well as planting, mulching and weeding, depending on the time of year.

At present we are focusing on landcare/bush regeneration, weeding, along different areas of the Coila Lake shore and the coastal foredunes.

Also, activities at the local community garden and where there are always plenty of different activities going on.

Sometimes we also help our neighbours making it difficult to say exactly what you will all be doing.

Jobs around our home could include some gardening, sewing, house work and maintenance.

We would like to exchange 5 hours work a day for full board and are happy to negotiate to suit your travel plans or health.

One spare bedroom in house in St Peters. Walk to Sydney Park and funky old King Street. Convenient to trains, buses and airport. Myself & a long-stay guest here at the moment, with other friends staying from time to time, & it is a lesbian & gay friendly household.
I am happy to host a single or couple who can do general housework, gardening, and some simple construction & repair work. I will supply food but you need to be able to cook for yourself as I am not a cook. I work at home on my own photography & film projects so anyone skilled with various digital media eg.Photoshop is most welcome.
I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting HelpXers at various times over the last 4 years & I am easy-going & flexible (so its good if you are too!)

We have a vacancy for a single person or couple preferably who is/are competent with IT and who know how to update a Wordpress Website. We have just moved from Hobart to Coffs Harbour and are living the Central area of the town. We have a few odd jobs that could be done but mostly we just need an IT savvy helper. We have had a lot of experience with HelpX visitors already when we were living in Hobart, enjoy their company and keep in contact with many of them still.

Our new house is very roomy with a swimming pool but it is very close to the beaches and nightlife. We are also near walking tracks with signs to watch out for the koalas!

It is a very cycling friendly area and we have two good bikes for people to use. I will add new pictures soon.

This is a country Hotel half an hour from Goulburn. My adult son and I are currently renovating bit by bit while still trading. We are looking for people experienced in painting and also people able to help us establish a vegetable garden.
We can offer accommodation and food, as well as a negotiable hourly rate of pay according to skills and experience. We have hosted many HelpX in the past at a previous address in Sydney, and very much enjoy the cultural exchange. Taralga is a small village in beautiful country on the Southern Tablelands, where sheep and cattle farming is the main industry. It is an extremely friendly and welcoming village. Wombeyan Caves are just 45 km down the road - a must see tourist attraction
Taralga is a short half hour detour from the main Melbourne Sydney highway.

We live in a very naturally beautiful region of Australia, some of the last natural Sub-Tropical Rainforest area in the stunning Northern Rivers region of northern NSW. Home to many animals and a fresh water river running through the land. The farm is permaculture designed, and we are building up and creating a food forest for the future generations.

We all strive to live balanced peaceful lives living with respect for each other and mother nature. We also have a lovely little puppy dog who is Amazing! You are welcome to join us each day for yoga and swimming in the river.

At the moment there are a few comfortable cabins and main house with beds, and nice areas spread around for camping if it gets too full. Internet connection, wifi, satellite connection. No phone reception on the property, but we do have a landline. Gardening, building, learning, healing, happiness, love and joy are all encouraged.

We are looking for fit, enthusiastic people to help with some cool new pro... more inside

GROWING FOOD - BUILDING HABITAT - REWILDING

Educating and investing in the good.

We live in the rainforest hinterland behind Byron Bay. The nearest town is Mullumbimby 20 minutes away, Byron is another 15 minutes from there.

We are developing an edible forest garden on a permaculture design and returning the rest of the land to rainforest. We are chemical free, working with the weeds. As a result we have a large variety of native flair and fauna. Native birds, bees, frogs and micro-bats thrive in these conditions. There are two ponds that sometimes have platypus living in them, and always blue fresh water crayfish (not for eating). We have one flow hive for low stress honey collection from European bees.

We are not aiming to be self-sufficient in food, rather to have an abundant food supply, which we supplement from the butcher, the grocer and the deli.

WHAT DRIVES US
Love. People. Increasing bio-diversity on this wondrous piece of land. Doing positive stuff for the ... more inside
