My name is Teresa. My husband, my children (Noa is 8 and Alex is 5 years old) and me live in Burgos (Camino de Santiago), a town in the north of Spain. We spend several days in summer in our house of a village near Burgos with beautiful sightseeing. During summer time there are a lot of parties and activities. We usually go to the city once or twice a week, and we can give you a lift to the city center.
We´re looking for an English person who can take care of our two children and speak with us in English, we can also teach some Spanish. We offer food + accommodation.

We are now getting the place ready for the up coming tourist season so it's painting and gardening as well as tidying the farm land. We can tell you all about the olives and if you are here in February , you get to see and smell the almond blossom

We would like 6 hours a day five days a week. We provide an excellent dinner and lunch on the days you work. We are meat eaters here and enjoy cooking. You do your own breakfast and look after yourself on your days off. There are bikes to borrow and free internet access. You will be staying in one of our letting rooms.
We can teach you about olives and almonds; pruning and care, preservation and preparation for the table. Both of us are now farmers and are excellent cooks and we can share these and gardening, composting, viticulutre and preserving skills with you. We look forward to hearing from you and maybe meeting you.

Please read the following carefully as once you are here I will expuect you to stay the course!!
I only take single people not couples or groups of friends. I also don't cater for vegetarians and prefer non smokers. You will also need to be an animal lover - especially of dogs!
I expect you to work for 5 hours a day five days a week. I work hard and I expect you to do the same. The work is psychically demanding - if it wasn't I would be doing it myself. At the moment there is still some bramble clearance that needs doing as well as conquering other weeds, painting inside and outside of the house and mixing of concrete so I can finish rendering the wall. Also digging out fence post holes and repairing fences. I want to construct a new shelter for the peacocks in the form of a castle - the current plan is to make a wooden frame and use cane from the river and render over it. I am also starting to grow Moringa trees so there is a lot of ground preparation and potting of seedling ... more inside

We are in the initial stages of creating a permaculture demonstration site combined with a local agroecological information center/transition town community space. We have a 3 hectare site, a 5 min walk to the center of Medina Sidonia, a small rural town in Cadiz, Andalucia.

We plan to develop the existing mature fruit orchard into a Mediterranean woodland garden. Existing fruit trees are olives, grapes, figs, pomegranates, lemons, oranges, mandarins, loquats, plums, pears, quince, custard apples, avocadoes, bananas.

We are in awe of living with the abundance this land offers as well as hoping to influence people around us to take small steps towards living more gently with the earth. We aspire to making a difference in this beautiful world albeit with a grain of sand.

We can only offer tent accommodation so far. Apologies. Looking for a cheap caravan but no joy yet!

Orgiva is in La Alpujarra mountain valley in southern Spain, south of the historic city of Granada. Our house is under 2.5 km from the town which has a population of about 6,000+. We need help in the garden-weeding, irrigation, olive and fruit tree pruning, general maintenance, new projects and planting out, growing on plants,. No gardening experience needed- only enthusiasm required and a quick step- no ambling around in holiday mode! We have chickens, cats, 2 dog and pigs, turkeys, geese, ducks, peacocks and LLAMAS! We now open the garden to the public every week so help needed with this also.
Accommodation: very high quality. 5/6 hours work Monday to Friday in exchange for board and lodging. Live as part of the family [which includes helping clear up after meals!]- we are a very sociable family with our 4 sons visiting regularly! We all work hard but enjoy the time off as well! Looking for help anytime...

We are an easy going German/English combination couple who have bought an "aldea entera" which translates to "entire village" of 5/6 houses (I must add that it doesn't have a pub, shop and post office etc), more like it a tiny hamlet with some ruins.
we are looking for help to renovate the property, jobs would include, cleaning the land, help in the forest, pointing, tiling, electrics, plumbing, painting, carpentry, roofing and much more. At least one skill would be useful for us ie carpenter, builder, plumber, electrician etc. If you think you can help us with any of the above then please get in touch

We want to turn the "little village" into some form of rural tourism, the property is about 25 minutes from Viveiro on the north coast of Galicia, the area is very rural but with good access and beautiful... some Spanish could be useful but not essential.

note: we don't eat and therefore don't cook meat or use diary products, we are not vegan as w... more inside

Help needed ASAP 100-year-old townhouse reaching end of phase one renovation in this attractive Spanish town. Helpers who can plaster, tile and paint, or want to gain experience with a retired professional builder, very welcome - there's a rush to finish off before end of June latest. All sorts of work, from physically moving stuff to solving challenges, trying to renovate with a light hand to keep the original qualities.

Velez is a lovely place to visit, with good coach service to the coast at Motril (COSTA TROPICAL) and to Granada for explorers, and is popular with walkers and cyclists. It has excellent pavement cafes and social life and is not primarily a tourist town, although the residents are very friendly to visitors.
