We have a small family hobby farm in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, an hour away from Melbourne.

We need a bit of help with general farm work such as pruning trees, picking fruit and nuts, netting, preparing garden beds, weeding, picking up sticks, splitting firewood, mowing and general maintenance and things like helping to clear out sheds etc

We have 2 dogs, a cat and some chickens living with us +3 horses (but they usually live somewhere else) so it would be great if you like animals.

We would love it if someone is willing to cook sometimes as we would love to try some interesting new food!
We mostly eat vegetarian (but still sometimes have meat) and try to eat as much from our garden as possible.

We are located near public transport with easy access to the city (1 hour by train +a 15 minute bus or drive) We also have a few old bikes available to use.
We are also very close to lovely national parks with great trails through native forest and wildlife - birds, w... more inside

Hello, I am looking for a couple or female/s to paint my house, undetake some carpentry and gardening work. My daughter, aged 18,, and I live in a fairly quiet area about an hour away from Melbourne city. My sons aged 22, and 20, live close by. There is often work nearby on one of the many plant nurseries in Monbulk. I live walking distance to public transport. Ther is the choice of one room with a single bed, and one with a queen size bed. Shared bathroom.
I've had one French girl stay for
three months, in 2016, and enjoyed it so much I thought why not do it again!!! She also did a lot of painting which made me very happy!

We have a large modern house and 2 hectares of garden needing maintenance. We own a 16 hectare wetland set aside for environmental work.
Help is required for gardening and similar jobs. We would expect about 6 hours work alongside us for 5 days a week.
We offer a comfortable living area, separate bedroom, bathroom, wifi and all meals. Since we are former restaurant owners, you will eat well!
We offer our helpers a holiday experience by showing them tourist attractions, eating at a local restaurant and having a good time.
We live in a rich farming area, 15 minutes drive from the city of Colac; 2 hours drive / train from Melbourne. The region is South West Victoria and we are one hour from the Great Ocean Road.
The photos are of the house [a few years ago!], wetland and nearby area.
Summer time [January and February] can be very hot and flies can be a nuisance. Spring and Autumn are best.

Our property "Glendara" is about 4 and a half hours midway between Melbourne and Adelaide and is situated on the Glenelg River with rolling hills, red gums and lots of birdlife and kangaroos.

We are sheep graziers with a little bit of cropping each year, mainly to renovate pasture. We also have a 2 bedroom cottage on our property that we run as a B&B.

Helpx workers with or without farming experience would be welcome at our property, but experience in rearing calves or lambs could be useful! At the moment our ewes are lambing, so checking all the lambing paddocks is a daily job. We will be buying some dairy calves in the next week or so.

There are always a variety of jobs Helpx workers would be able to assist with....helping Geoff with day to day farm jobs or helping Cherryl keep up in the garden or with some general housekeeping.

We love meeting people and have a big home that allows for helpers to have their own bedrooms and bathroom, and an in-ground pool for summer.... more inside

I have a property which is 166 acres on undulating land and I need help to convert an old cabin in August/September 2017 into something that can be lived in. It will need plumbing, painting and recarpeting as well as setting up water tanks and solar power as the property is off-grid.

Besides that, I also need helpers who enjoy planting fruit trees and can help me fix the soil by spreading straw and horse manure on some areas of the property. There's so much to do so it all depends on what your skills and interests are.

Where will you be living?

You will be staying in a beautiful house on half an acre of land in Violet Town which is 20 kms away from the property.

Violet Town is home to one of the most famous monthly farmer's markets and is close to Shepparton, Euroa and Benalla and only 60 kms from Wangaratta. It is about 2.5 hours from Melbourne and there is a train service that will take you to Melbourne or Sydney. This is the area that Ned Kelly and his friends t... more inside
