Hi, we are June and Oz and we live in the Haute Pyrenees. We have a few assorted animals ie. chickens, ducks, dogs, cat and a pony. The house is in the process of renovation and we have a food shop that we run from home.
The renovation and general help in and out of the house are the main reasons that we are looking for help so if you like being outside and are comfortable with animals it would be good for you.
The accommodation is in the house. There is internet and T.V.
We feel that a couple or 2 or more friends would enjoy the experience more than a single person as we are 3km from a small town which has a few shops and a couple of bars but is not a really lively place. However, we are able to drop you off in other towns when we can.
This place is lovely for those who enjoy beautiful and natural surroundings. We have a small lake which is home to many frogs and frogs do sing! There are also sheep in the fields and and therfore there will be countryside noise. We have bycicle... more inside

If you would like to help us with our adventure, then we are here in The South of France! We live in a beautiful part of the country, fantastic for walking, cycling, kayaking, climbing, caving.. the list is endless! We have recently bought an old Gascony farm in the beautiful Gers countryside which we are in the process of converting into living accommodation and gites.
We are a friendly, easy-going couple who would welcome an extra pair of hands as soon as possible to help us out with general renovation work (some carpentry/general building experience would be a bonus). A love of animals would also be an advantage as we currently have a dog, cats, ferrets, pygmy goats, chickens, ducks and a tortoise!
We offer comfortable accommodation, good food and light-hearted company.
We are located in a rural position with stunning views over open countryside but not far from local villages.
If you feel you would like to experience this lovely area of SW France and could happily help us with some of our renovations, please do contact us.

We are in the gorgeous foothills of the French Pyrenees and are making this offer to one or two people who are looking to enjoy some time here.
Stunning French scenery, a beautifully renovated chateau carriage house with WiFi and all mod cons, comfortable & clean rooms, good food and an easy-going atmosphere.

In October we will need a hand with a range of tasks, from decorating, moving furniture, cutting and moving firewood to domestic chores and dog walking.

Working hours and tasks can be altered to suit whoever we accept, and in October I expect to offer accommodation ONLY in exchange for around 15 hours of work per week.
The accommodation is 1st class, see the link to the gite booking page.
When not working, the area has so much to see and do and we can happily help with advise and transport.

We have travelled and worked on volantary projects over the years and have spent much of our working lives in very diverse and interesting situations.
We are open-minded and ... more inside

Hello! We are a family of four, living in an old mill house on top of a hill in the countryside. We are renovating our house and also have about 100 ares of land to maintain with a kitchen garden, fruit trees, and a pond. That, plus our jobs and our two kids who are aged 5 and 7. So we are pretty busy and enjoy having people around to help us, and also to share different cultures and experiences.

We need help with the renovating works of the house, the maintaining of the garden, various DIY jobs, but also with looking after the kids, cooking and cleaning the house. There is no need to work more than a couple of hours a day and the timetable can be arranged with the person(s) coming. At the moment we especially need help with keeping up the house and looking after the kids and meals.

We like sports, arts and crafts, music, cooking and we like to eat well! You are welcome if you would like to share our activites and want to make new acquaintances.

I'm looking for someone who has experience of building a timber frame house or who enjoys and is handy working with wood. We are putting up a smallish wooden extension to a stone building and putting in a bathroom and kitchen. The timing is from about the 2nd week of september and could last for a couple of weeks to about a month. There'd be plenty of other building to do once the extension is built if you wanted to stay on a bit.
The accommodation at the moment is quite basic - you'd be sleeping in the partially rebuilt stone house (the roof at the moment is just plastic sheeting), there's a dry loo and cold shower in the garden (and sometimes a hot shower at a neighbour's). We'd provide all meals and the working day would start about 9 and finish about 4 in the afternoon. The weekends would be free for you to do what you want.
We're in a beautiful river valley - the cÚlÚ river, in the Lot. The river runs through our hamlet and I often go for a swim after work. The house is at t... more inside
