We have a rural cottage and 2 acres of land a few miles from the villages of Feakle and Tulla in Co Clare.

There are ongoing land projects involving clearing and managing the hedges etc as well as other ongoing builds and renovations. - many tasks always changing - currently i am trying to finish stone work on a shed , clear a lot of bramble roots from the land and generally keep the tasks in hand.

The van shown here will be accommodation for my helper. It has a comfortable bed , a wood burner stove and a gas cooker and is connected to electricity.

This helpx position would suit someone that is happy to work without supervision and can manage basic tools.. Strimming is a weekly task so using a strimmer will be required at times and other skills such as stone masonry and building an advantage. It is a quiet area and ones that seek peace and solitude will enjoy it most. I am currently looking for older people that have some building experience.

Helpers would have thei... more inside

We own a beautiful property in West Cork near Bantry Bay.

We have three acre's of extensive gardens with a river running through. All our gardening is organic and we have fresh well water.

We have on going projects all year round. At the moment we are looking for helpers to build a wall and help with gardening, house work and making a new pond.

We would love people who like to cook and who are clean and tidy as we have a sociable household

The cabin we host out is a small dwelling with cooking facilities so you have the option to be private or join in with the main house. There is no shower facility in the cabin, but there is a compost toilet.

We have a 10 year old sun so we are happy for an older child to come. Preferably it would be best if you have transport but this is not a necessity for we live 5 miles from the nearest village.

There are some beautiful public hiking trails around our area and we are also on the wild atlantic way.

I speak Spanish and ... more inside

I live in a very rural area on the north west coast of County Donegal. The village consists of a pub, post office and shop and the nearest town, Dungloe, is 6 miles distant. I have 9 rescue dogs and a number of cats still living here from my time in animal rescue. The cats live in separate accommodation to the house but my dogs are all house dogs. I also have two Shetland ponies. I am away for most afternoons so I require a helper to keep my dogs company and walk them on the beach when the weather is good and to spend a little time with the ponies and generally keep an eye on them and muck out the stable each day which all can be done in 2 or 3 hours. You will be confident and at ease with working on your own and hopefully have experience of dogs and horses. You will have plenty of time to yourself to explore the numerous beautiful beaches here in Donegal. This hosting would suit a person who likes the outdoors and of course loves animals. I can only cater for vegetarians. The ac... more inside

This is a large old 18th century house in the countryside near Cork City which is a family home with dogs and cats. We are very easy going friendly household and have always had guests coming and going (although this is the first time with Helpx). We live in beautiful open countryside with fields and trees around for miles, but very close to local shops by bus/cycle. Kinsale, West Cork and Kerry are all within driving distance for fab days out and bus is two miles away but I can collect and drop back to buses and will give lifts when I can or you can borrow my bicycle. Nearest bus is two miles away but it can go into Cork city one way and all the way down to Dingle and the Kerry Coast the other way, so perfect for adventures when you want to get away. Cork is an amazing vibrant city but still has a small feel, gorgeous restaurants, music in the pubs most nights and there is a festival of some sort always going on around the city especially in the summer. To get away from it all this... more inside

We are located on the Cooley peninsula. It is a beautiful piece of land that is in the Tipping family since 1723. It contains a stunning period house, 200 acres of arable land and 200 acres of broad leave woodlands. The estate has a management aim that has changed from intense dairy farming to organic food production along side sustainable tourism activities. We manage the estate through various activities including farming organic beef. The land is also used to host music festivals, the Louth agricultural show and other events throughout the year. The woodlands are constantly under restoration which includes the removal of loral and invasive species. We also run mountain biking, airsoft and have a horse riding school along side the farm. The land is managed by a young team that is very energetic, respectful and always keen to learn new information and skill share. The diversity of tasks can range from animal husbandry to prepping the house for a wedding and everything in between. ... more inside
