Ellamara is a small family farm with a potential business side which we have been working on.

We currently need a person or couple to help with gardening and housework a couple of hours a day and can provide a train carriage with kitchen, shower & toilet as accomodation for $50 per week. This arrangement is negotiable.
Your own transport is required.
Sorry, we do not qualify to sign off on 2nd Visa's.

Location
We are 3 hours north west of Sydney and 2 hours inland from the coast (Newcastle).
Sandy Hollow is a 2km walk or cycle from the property and has a pub, general store and cafe. The nearest small shopping town is Denman about 20 minutes drive and the larger town of Muswellbrook half an hour away.

Our region is most well known for it mining, vineyards and horse studs and is a temperate climate rural area.

The historic buildings on our property are old and need maintenance , so woodwork and carpentry skills would be an advantage.

Hello,
I have a large shed on a community (5mins to Nimbin) that is basically setup with some power, flush toilets and shower. It is not ready for my children and i to move into just yet But would suit a couple of people who would have the space to themselves. I come most days to work there. There is cleaning and lantana clearing, setting up garden beds and other jobs. If you have building skills they would be appreciated but not neccessary, being good with children is a plus. I would expect about 4-5hrs of work per day 5-6 days per week. People must be non smoking and willing to be vegan while there. Two meals a day will be provided. There is beautiful forest around and plenty of wildlife. All the best
Ben

We are a drug free property and encourage the responsible use of alcohol.

We have had many helpxers, some helpful and delightful and some not so much. I have realised that those who enjoyed their time here and gave me good reviews were generally humble, respectful, focussed and fun people who could follow simple instructions and even if they didn't have any particular skills they were a delight to host.

Having said that I am flexible with work, hours and food and am happy to drop helpers into town or at the bus stop to visit Byron, which I'm told is about 1 hour bus ride away and then pick them up.

Moriah is situated in a rural coastal setting 10 minutes from Ballina and local beach and 40 minutes by car from Byron Bay.

We are in a natural Koala corridor, where you will wake to the sound of ducks on the lake and kookaburra's laughing, then can venture out to feed them.

In the afternoon you can go kangaroo and koala spotting in the bush trails or wander through th... more inside

*Are you interested in natural building? Organic gardens? Childcare/forest school? Any or all of the above? Then come and play :)
At the moment we really need helpers who enjoy physical work. We are building a stone ,cob and round wood cottage(The work can be varied but be prepared to occasionally break a sweat!) If you are not into physical labour then we would still love you to come if you love kids and can happily hang out with a 3 year old for four hours a day or cooking and cleaning for everyone*

We are a young, creative family of three (Tom -36- Emma -33- and Gwyn -3 years) who are passionate about living close to the earth, as soulfully and sustainably as possible.

We are lucky to have recently moved onto a beautiful riverside property in the Hartley Valley, nestled in the foothills of the spectacular Blue Mountains.
It is a special place, with lovely walks along the river and in the adjoining bush. There are plenty of birds and wildlife; we have kangaroos on our b... more inside

Hi. We're looking for a handy man/woman or backpacker to help out for a few weeks (approx 3-4 weeks or longer if suitable) from now on or contact us.

We're doing some renovations and need somebody to give us a hand with certain things like preparing to paint (sanding walls), painting, cleaning up back yard, filling gaps, fencing, clean the house or whatever needs doing at the time. The jobs can be quite physically demanding, so have to be a fit person with some experience in house renovations preferred but not a must.

Approx. 12hours help asked for per week which can be 2 hours help daily, 6 days a week or some weekends required when we need a hand with certain things. This will be in exchange for accommodation incl water and electricity. Need to cook and pay for own meals. If you can't pay for your own meals, please talk to us and maybe we can negotiate something.

Great opportunity for travelers/backpackers that want a bit of a break from traveling and a place to call home... more inside

We would love some help to tidy up our property.

We are looking for some help to plant and care for our gardens, it is peaceful and when you have had enough peace, the cafe is a great place to chill, 20 minutes from the property. We have a spare cabin outback of the house with a toilet but you are free to eat and shower in the house. We also have a house in town behind the cafe. We want a bit of help cleaning up the property and planting trees, also some bush regeneration on the creek. And we have a garden and some work to do at the cafe. We have 6 alpacas, a horse, a dog, 2 steers, 2 goats, chooks, guinea fowl and a goose. We like a glass of wine or a glass of beer at night, but we are non smokers.
The farm is suited really well to a couple as it can get a bit lonely when we are at work for long hours, although we are always grateful for help in the cafe. Bent on Food supports local produce and we have a weekly farmers market out front every Tuesday, it is a really great space... more inside

Hi, we are renovating a terrace house in sydney's inner west. We'd like some help with moving light building waste, painting, sorting the garage, paving, gardening etc. The building work is all done and we're just cleaning up and decorating the last 2 rooms. We offer a large bedroom, good food and don't expect any more than 4 hours work a day - which can be done flexibly over the week. We are close to a train station and buses - 15 minutes to central station. We have a small inground swimming pool, unlimited wifi, shared bathrooms. We are a family of 5 - Melissa, Ian, Alex (12-year old boy), Charli (17-year old girl) and Alfie the labradoodle puppy
