Come and stay with me in the beautiful and peaceful Megalong Valley.

I am a retired single man and currently I have a badly broken leg which is healing slowly so I have mobility issues. I live on a farm with cattle, sheep and 2 dogs who mainly live outside but sleep in the house, they are medium sized and boisterous but harmless.

The house has an upstairs section which will be for your exclusive use, in this is a bedroom with queen bed, a sitting room with tv and bar fridge and a bathroom. While the house is in a remote part of the Megalong it still has all the usual facilities including power and wifi, however your mobile probably won't work here as reception is patchy at best. I am 10Kms along a gravel road and there is no public transport so a current driving licence is essential and own vehicle preferable though we will use my ute for the farm work and trips to the shops etc .

What I need is help around the farm consisting of a few hours each day at most, not much work ... more inside

Hi
We are an older couple, who would mainly like some help with gardening and general farm work. We have pecan nuts, macadamia nuts, citrus and a large garden.

Alternatively we are fixing up some old farm sheds. We would be very excited by anyone with building skills, who could assist us.

Another person who would be very welcome is someone with mechanical skills able to fix up an older 4WD vehicle.

You would have a nice queen bed bedroom with ensuite in a very large and comfortable home. We eat well and enjoy a mixed diet. There is also a large clean swimming pool for you.

We have had only positive experiences and have enjoyed all our HelpXers and wwoofers. We have recently been invited to stay with many of them while we were in Europe.

We can show you the Bellingen surrounds, which include beaches, rivers and mountains. We are 25 minutes to World Heritage national park at Dorrigo, 25 minutes to beaches, 10 minutes to great river swimming holes & 3.5 km to Bellin... more inside

A sheep, beef cattle a cropping property in the central west of NSW………....

We are a busy family farm, that takes pride in the quality of our produce that is exported to the dinner plates of the world.

We like our helpXers to stay for about 2 weeks, but most have changed their plan and stayed a bit longer.

We look forward to hosting travellers that are keen to help on our farm. We enjoy showing you what and how we do our work here and really enjoy your help so that we can knock off earlier and enjoy a beer. Some days are really busy and long, but other days are easier and we can take the time teaching you new skills as we work. EG welding, operating tractors and bikes or maybe the bigger trucks.

We joined helpX in August 2013, but have had great experiences with travellers before. Jan 2017…. we have had 11 helpXers now and all have been great experiences. You will mostly work with us on any number of jobs, but also on projects by yourself. These will include working w... more inside

Mid North Coast - New South Wales
Bowarra is a Bio-Dynamic Beef and garlic property on the Manning River, 10 minutes from Wingham and 25 minutes from Taree.
We love to look after the land. Our farm is 116 acres, picturesque and with a comfortable farm house.
We have 1 dogs,a cat, a pig, a goat & a sheep plus cattle & 2 horses. We are on the river so swimming kayaking, fishing and generally getting into nature are all at your door. We are 30 minutes from the beach.
Generally work involves feeding animals, planting trees, weeding, gardening, helping round the house, moving animals and general duties that pop up along the way.
We welcome you to share our beautiful farm, enjoy meals and get stuck into some of the jobs that are made easier with others to help.
We are located 12 minutes from Wingham train station and 30 minutes from Taree bus or train stop. Wingham is a four hour drive from Sydney.
Warm regards, Belinda & Bruce
