We are a family run business with 8 Luxury selfcatering apartments. I am looking for someone whom is able to be taught how to clean to 5 star requirements, training on the job, general maintenance ability would be good also, in return for board & lodgings, I would require up to 6 hours work per day, but normally, 4to 6 hours per day, weekend work may be necessary. accommodation will be providedat our home. English will be taught if required, but some English is essential. Strahan on the Westcoast of Tasmania has so much to offer a visitor, with experiences on the water, in the forests and around the local towns. I would love to have an overseas visitor stay and work with us either on short or long term basis. We are a family of six so are used to large numbers of people in our home, and our daughter actually was an exchange student in Finland for a whole year so we are aware of the commitment we would have in looking after a foreign visitor and making their experience as fulfilling... more inside

Our 35 acre property, is nestled amongst the farming community of Stowport, Northwest Coast of Tasmania. We have 10 acres of beautiful rhododendrons, camelias, azaleas and a large variety of exotic conifers. The other 25 acres is natural rainforest bush with a dam. We have 7 Indian runner ducks and 4 geese on the dam. We have a resident platypus, wallabies, Tasmanian Devils, possums and bandicoots. Our platypus has not been seen for some time. The Tasmanian Devils are not seen as they are very shy animals, but we know they are around. If weather permits we like to take helpers on a night walk by torch light around the property when wallabies, possums and occasionally bandicoots can be seen.

Work may include, weeding, pruning, planting, raking and assisting with wood splitting (more wood stacking than splitting). There would also be some physical work assisting Wayne around the property. Hours of work would be approximately 5-6 hours per day with a total of 30 hours per week.... more inside

A 40 acre private island 15 kms south of Flinders Island located between Cape Barren and Vansittart Islands. The island is primarily volcanic granite and bluestone and is inhabited by quail, and (in season) short tailed shearwater birds who nest on the island between October and May. Many other species of marine and land birds also inhabit the island. My home is comfortable and well equipped with two spare bedrooms - one with a double and a single bed, and the other with four singles. Fishing abounds with local oysters, abalones and crayfish also in good supply in the surrounding waters. I need help with gardening and building trades.

Our house is currently full but we will be back on HelpX later in the year (dec - Jan) thank you.

We live in Sandy Bay (a very nice part of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia) Our house is right next door to the University of Tasmania and only a few minutes walk from the beach, shops, recreational grounds and Hobart CBD. Sandy Bay is a wealthy area of Hobart but our own house is modest and we are renovating it. We have a large garden (for the city) and use it to grow herbs, fruit and vegetables.

Primarily we are hoping to find someone who can help provide a stimulating and nurturing environment for our children on the days I work longer shifts. (I work part time for a charity and am sometimes asked to work 9-5, leaving a gap after school pick up and my returning home.) If you are good at gardening or cooking we would also like you to share these skills with us and include the children so that they can learn from you.

We have had exchange students in the past and had a very good e... more inside
