We are a couple with dogs who have just had gorgeous puppies, in a house in London. If you like dogs, and would like to experience London life in our suburb, which has great transport links into central London, please contact us. We need some help with puppy sitting while we are out, and also a bit of general help in house and garden, if you are handy and/or green fingered. We are vegan and vegetarian respectively and community minded.

We live in the south downs, half an hour cycle down the river to the seafront. Next to the historical village of Bramber. We are an hours bus ride to Brighton, and an hour train to London.

We are on 8 acres with a polytunnel, veg patch, forest garden, chickens and a large aviary with rescue birds/parrots. We are hoping to re-wild the field back into a wetland! We have a caravan overlooking the lake under the willow trees for you to stay in, with access to the house amenities kitchen/shower internet etc.

We would like a gardener / handy wo/man or couple to help with all the various projects and care for animals. We would like two days working six hours, then up to an hour the other 3 weeks day to help with the watering/animal care. You can eat all you like from the veg in the garden! Feel free to get in touch with questions...

Need someone for a few weeks in July - need help with the vegetable patch and clearing some undergrowth and generally keeping the garden maintained.

Beautiful Thatched Cottage in the heart of the East Devon country side. I have a large garden and need help with maintaining and doing some small projects in the garden as well as some DIY jobs. I am a non smoking household and you will have your own room in the house. It would be helpful if you had some experience of gardening and can turn your hand to doing small DIY jobs/painting etc.

I am two miles from the town of Honiton which is walkable but I can provide bikes otherwise your own transport will be needed. Honiton has a train station and full bus service to Sidmouth, Exeter and other surrounding towns and villages as well as pubs, wine bars and leisure centre. The nearest beach is about 7/8 miles away and we have some beautiful walks and countryside to explore. Relaxed atmosphere and good home cooked healthy food. Wifi av... more inside

I live in a small village called Edith Weston. It is a beautiful area of outstanding natural beauty with many great places to walk, cycle and enjoy water sports . There is a lovely town called Stamford approx 15 minutes away with nice shops, cafes and cinema. The train and bus station are approx 5 miles away in Stamford or Oakham. The fast train to and from London takes 50 minutes.
My home is quite large as are the gardens. I would like help with weeding, grass cutting, strimming, etc. In the house would be deep cleaning , hoovering, dusting, cooking (occasionally) etc. I would like one person to help for two weeks. You would have your own room and bathroom. It is important you are comfortable with dogs as I have a large active Great Dane, named Dennis, and a Shih Tzu called Spencer. I would like you to walk them. I would like 5-6 hours help per day. You may have two whole days off each week to explore the area. You are welcome to help yourself to food in the kitchen and it is... more inside

Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre is set in 38 acres of beautiful Derbyshire park land. Many visitors come here to enjoy the grounds, meditation room, café and shop. The Centre promotes the development of inner peace, compassion and wisdom.

If you are interested, while you are with us, you will be able to attend our meditation classes and courses for free where these do not conflict with the working day (we have several evening classes and lunchtime meditations).

Whilst you are here you can enjoy volunteering in the Vegetarian Café, grounds, kitchen, doing some decorating, building and other activities.
We have people living and volunteering from all over the world here. It is a warm and vibrant place with plenty of opportunity to make friends and learn new skills.

In return for 5-6 hours working per day, we offer accommodation (male and female dormitory) and food.

As a Buddhist community, we ask that you abide by our philosophy whilst in the Centre which means abstain... more inside

Our farm consists of 88 acres all permanent pasture (except small wood and kitchen garden). Livestock - about 200 sheep (including about 60 milking sheep), about 20 Devon cattle, some poultry and two sows. We milk our sheep in a milking parlour with a vacuum line and have a dairy where we make our own cheese. All management of livestock & cheesemaking practices conform to the Soil Association standards. We are members of the Specialist Cheesemakers' Association and have had success in the Organic Food Awards and the 'British Cheese Awards.' Our general aim is to farm in a humane and sustainable way, restore and maintain the traditional landscape features, produce excellent cheese and be as self sufficient as possible. We can demonstrate organic pasture management, animal husbandry, sheep milking, hedge laying. We are near the sea and good coastal walks (see link above for photos).
Karen and Lawrence have farmed here since 1992. Lawrence does most of the farm work and Karen does th... more inside
