Hello, I'm looking for help around the garden, landscaping, finishing a shed conversion, stonework, paving etc., lots of little projects that need finishing - and some inside stuff too if that appeals. I am looking at hosting for short term stays, between 3 days and a week, or sharing helpxers with some friends. I think I'm reasonably easy going, but would like people to be able to work independently and to be clear communicators.

I have a relatively eco house, with a compost toilet and grass roof. It's about 5 miles out of the village in a very beautiful part of the country, near the sheep's Head walking trail.
I can offer a bedroom or a lawn to camp on.
I play music, so musicians welcome, I can throw a guitar lesson or two into the exchange.

I will be in Greece over Easter and it will be the second week in May before I'm able to host anybody - but then I could really use some help getting this place ready for the Summer!

I look forward to meeting you. Catherine

Easy going place to learn and practice English language skills. This is a small farm with a large barn, other outbuildings, a mobile home and a bungalow. TV, wifi, bicycles, barbecue, hot-water, showers etc. all on site. Food and cooking facilities provided. Beautiful spot during the summer months with lots of wildlife including hawks, herons, pheasants, badgers, foxes, hares, rabbits, dragonflies and butterflies.
Sleeping arrangements range from a room in the house to a room in the barn or the mobile home and depend upon circumstances but I'll try to make you as comfortable as possible. So email me with dates and I'll be more specific about beds etc.
There is a lot of work to be done from fencing to digging to block-laying and carpentry. Cooking, cleaning and gardening also need to be done. A great place to learn new skills or to share old ones. A place for anyone willing to help out with whatever talents they have to share.
Knock Airport is 45 mins away. Bus and train in Ballin... more inside

Lovely historic house on organic farm near medieval village on River Shannon. We are a couple with 2 teenage children who run an organic beef farm and walled vegetable garden with apple orchards and a poly-tunnel. We also keep a few horses and lots of dogs and cats! We are happy to welcome 2 friends - or a couple - to stay in our cottage (stocked with food!) That way you have some independence but are welcome in our home anytime and we will all eat together as family most nights. We are looking for some kind, reliable people to help out in our home and with farm and garden tasks. For this Autumn season we need help with apple picking for organic juice and preparing the poly-tunnel for winter along with tree-pruning and manuring veg beds. On the farm we are feeding and bedding cattle and fixing stone walls and fences. We practise natural horsemanship so our horses mostly live in the field. If you have some experience you may be able to ride with us. We are walking distance ... more inside

This is a 50 acre woodland estate situate in a coastal setting on the Wild Atlantic Way. The property is located on Bantry Bay, 7km from the village of Glengarriff and 11km from Bantry town; The estate includes 15 holiday homes that are rented to tourists during the holiday season. This place was once the ancestral home of Ellen Hutchins, a famous Irish botanist, whose family planted and laid out an arboretum on the estate, including numerous Irish specimen trees as well as substantial foreign trees. In addition, the estate contains many flowering exotic trees and shrubs. However, the arboretum is long neglected and overgrown with weeds and briars, as well as fallen trees and branches. We are planning to try and reclaim the arboretum and are looking for people to help us, initially in clearing and developing walks/paths within the woodlands. We are looking for a total of 4 people who will ideally stay with us for a minimum of 8 weeks. This will suit people who are interested in w... more inside

This will be our second year. We really enjoyed helpx last year and are looking forward to hosting again this year. We are two adults with a 17 year old sheep dog living in an old farmhouse on the remote Beara peninsula in the South West of Ireland. We are foodies and seaweed enthusiasts! I also do mosaics in my free time. It's about 4 miles to the local shop, post office and pub and 15 miles from the local town. Perfect if you like nature, walking, kayaking and quiet time. The local village, Allihies, is an old mining village with a couple of engine houses still standing and The Copper Mines Museum sits down the hill. A lively village during the summer months but quiet and peaceful the rest of the year. Traditional music sessions on Sunday nights in the local pub. 10 miles from Dzochen Beara Buddhist centre.
We are looking for help with a variety of different things; something for everyone :) building projects, compost toilet, help going off-grid, sheds, landscaping, stone walls to... more inside
