Hi!

We are a lovely fun loving family in Ireland and we love having company and friends to stay. We have had Au Pairs, students etc through the years and have had only wonderful experiences.
We have 3 children, Emily 5, Marcella 4 and Eddie 2. We are looking for someone who could give us a dig out with general house duties and looking after our kids. I do not work, so it's not too pressured. Our children are really well behaved and gentle spirits and that is not just from our perspective
5 hours per day any additional hours, if it suits, we will pay you for. We get away most weekends to places of local interest, Glendalough, Castlecomer, the beach etc so it will be an opportunity for you to explore local attractions.
We would also welcome anyone who would like to turn their hand to gardening! We have a vegetable patch under construction and would like to get started on it ASAP!

We enjoy a glass of wine, are relaxed and a bit of Craic! We can send you references from p... more inside

For the first two weeks of may we need people who like to clean and paint. There are also numerous carpentry jobs and non specific tasks. We are looking for help with the gardens now until the beginning of May.
Mill Cove Gardens place are part of the West Cork Garden Trail and include growing areas for kitchen plants with a large greenhouse. The gardens are on 4 acres with a great variety of plant species and sweep down to the sea (see photo). There are a number of specimen trees. The Gardens are open to the public in the summer and include sculptures by notable Irish Artists.
We are looking for help with the gardens to have them ready to open for May. We are happy to have 1 or 2 people at a time. The tasks are easy and vary from garden maintenance such as clearing, weeding, edging lawns and dead heading to more specific tasks like repotting etc.

Before you start reading this, I must tell you that I prefer my helpers to come in pairs. So if there are two of you, read on: We keep sheep, cows, pigs, hens and horses. We also grow a certain amount of cereal crops. The work is quite seasonal starting in Spring with lambing, then following the great miracle of birth through till autumn harvest, and the gathering in of grain and straw. The winter months are mostly clearing up from the previous summer, or preparing for the next one. Also tending to all our livestock. We have a polytunnel and small vegetable garden providing food for the house. When there are urgent jobs to be done we work whatever the weather and regardless of the day of the week. Accommodation is a bedroom in the house, and in spite of all I've said above, we do take time off for fun.

My name is Suzanne, I run a B&B and a farm in Doolin. We are located between Doolin and Lisdoonvarna where we welcome volunteers, 20 years upwards (not older than 50), to help in the daily running of the house.

We would love the volunteer to be available for around 25 hours in the week to help meet the guests and show them to their rooms and help with light household duties. Volunteers can have two days off at their leisure time along with the wonderful long summer evenings where the volunteer can spend exploring the wonderful countryside and the west of Ireland. There is an abundance of facilities and places of interest in the vacinity of our farmhouse some to include the magnificant Doolin Cave, Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, the Burren and many more places of interst along with a wonderful nightlife in the local pubs in Lisdoonvarna & Doolin. Volunteers will also enjoy the Irish culture and be involved first hand and learn the Irish farm way of living.
