We are a family of four running a chambre d'hotes in Normandy. The children are 16 and 13 years old and we live in the middle of a lovely French hamlet. The area is magnificent and we are constantly still surprised by how much Normandy has to offer. You will stay in room. The room can have either a double bed or 2 single beds You may be sharing with one other helper of the same sex if you are travelling on your own.
We ask for 25 hours work a week in exchange for your food and accommodation. We also ask that you help generally with the preparing and clearing up at mealtimes, as you would in a family as well as keeping your room clean and tidy.
The room has an ensuite shower and sink and a dry toilet. There is also an outdoor toilet across the courtyard. If this room was for some reason not available you would have a room in our flat or in the bed and breakfast.
You have wifi in the accommodation but you need to bring your own device. We do not provide use of a computer.

Situated 40 kms from Rouen and Dieppe we are a small livery stables for convalescent and injured horses.
We have 17 stables, an indoor/outdoor arena and 30 acres of grassland. Our livery horses stay with us and receive holistic treatments to help them recover from injuries. We then build an exercice program for the horses and work them so that they recover completely and to the best of their ability.
We are specialised in shiatsu for horses, dogs and humans. My partner is an osteopath and I am a Ride with your Mind coach. Our aim is to improve the relationship between the horse and the rider.
The helper will have an independent studio and garden, food will be provided in exchange for 3 / 4 hours of work per day. The work is variable from feeding the chickens, gardening, and caring for the horses. We are 3km from the village and sightseeing and the beach requires independent transport although public transport is 5 km away. Ideal for animal lovers and anyone who would enjoy worki... more inside

We are a british couple with a smallholding in Normandy with some small animals and the usual dog and cats.

we are looking for someone who can get stuck in with painting and general DIY plus wood chopping and stacking. there is also a rather ragged garden that needs tackling!

We have room for 2/3 peope and there is use of wifi internet for email checking. We are flexible and easy going and rear much of our own meat and grow our own vegetables.

I aim to provide a variety of home cooked meals and different daily jobs and ask generally for 4-5 hours per day, 5-6 days a week plus help with chores and cooking occasionally.

There are local woodlands and lakes for those who enjoy walking and have the D-Day landing beaches within easy travelling distance as well as Mont St Michel. Our nearest train station is Vire and if arranged I am happy to collect/drop off.

We are an English family consisting of myself, husband and 18 year old daughter. We moved to France ten years ago. Our home is a three hundred year old farmhouse situated on the outskirts of the historic and picturesque town of Villedieu les Poeles in Lower Normandy. The town is a 25 minute stroll or 10 minute cycle away.
We have two acres of garden consisting of outbuildings, orchard and an abundance of trees. We keep goats, chickens and sheep. We share our home with four friendly dogs and two cats.
We host French students during the school holidays. I hold a TEFL qualification to teach English so I'm happy to help foreign helpers to improve their English. I'm a qualified artist.
In exchange for full board including meals we require help with general domestic duties and help with maintenance of the garden. This would include grass cutting, pruning, weeding, maintenance of outdoor buildings plus help with animals and assistance with heavier jobs. Also we manage a gite so would ... more inside

Hello, we are a belgian couple (Kim, 32 and Oliver, 44) who started a sustainable living project 5 years ago on a small old farm with a ciderorchard and a lovely little stream. We also have a little daughter Lila (4 years). A big permaculture garden is giving us a lot of delicious fruit and veggies, two adorable donkeys are maintaining the grass and the chickens give us eggs.

If you are interested in helping us out in our day to day life, gardening, building, cooking and playing, you are warmly welcomed!
After a fulfilling day at the countryside in the bay of the Mont Saint Michel, ex-chef Oliver will treat you with his delicious vegetarian cooking! And who knows, his herbalist counterpart will let you taste the latest magic potion....

As we try to live in style and close to nature, you can expect dry toilets and sleeping in a lovely spacious yurt or caravan. We speak both fluently dutch , french and english. See you soon!

Following the death of my partner I have a large garden which I need help with, both general maintenance and some stone walls to build. As a pensioner I can do much of the work but not the more manual jobs. I also have a large polytunnel which needs to be erected. A mobile home is available for volunteers as I now live in the barn. I also love to cook and am happy to provide vegetarian, or any required diets.

Thankyou for your interest, we think we now have enough helpers for the whole year. Ken and I (we're English)live in the countryside near Domfront in Basse Normandie (Lower Normandy). We are retired and live here permanently with our cat, five goats, five sheep, two bossy guinea pigs, chickens and two llamas. All are pets or grass cutters, we don't eat them.

We have a very specific requirement for the week beginning Sunday 28th May for someone happy to play with and entertain an energetic 5 year old boy. We have some of our grandchildren coming to stay that week, one (possibly two) older granddaughters aged 14 and possibly 12, plus their young cousin who is 5. The girls are regular visitors and the little boy has been here before but is much harder work! We are not looking for a nanny or au pair, just someone happy to play football, hide and seek, throwing games, enter into "soft play" or swimming - just generally run around and help wear him out!

The rest of the wor... more inside
