I live a very nice and charming place with a horse, 4 hens and two cats. There is as well somebody living in a tiny little house next to that place. The house is in a complete bucolic and rural area called le brionnais in south Burgundy in France. There are still many things to discover for curious people for example Old roman churches, castle, animals fair and markets can be visited.
I speak English and a little Spanish . There are many things to do here if you like countryside. Tree size, small masonry work, painting. it's possible as well to ride my horse in rural roads or woods around.

Practicing in the studio is possible at times, taking classes also in exchange for help.
We have 3 big rooms for guests to share, 2 kitchens, sharing meals at times is good, some independence at times also... We are VEGEtarians but eat cheese and eggs. You will be welcome for room and board, in exchange for some 5 or 6 H. of help 5 days a week...

We are a young couple of vegetable farmers, on a small farm in Burgundy near Chalon-sur-Saône. We grow with family (our baby is 1 year old!) all kinds of vegetables depending on the season, and sell our products directly on the farm.
We want to keep a method as culture respectful of the environment as possible: we weed by hand, we use natural fertilizers ...
We also have chickens and quail, raised outdoors.

We hope increase this year our culture surface, and increase our number of chickens. So, we will set up new greenhouses, and a new chicken coop.
We will also start making the transformation of canned vegetables: ratatouille, eggplant Provencal, peeled tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, etc.

In parallel, we are transforming our house a little, and do the construction of a family kitchen, and more!

Hello!
I'm Hilde, living in Biches,Burgundy region, central France. Together with my son Robin, we started a small scale permaculture project.I took a PDC with Steve Read from the Université Populaire de Permaculture in 2012. Currently we are renovating the house (using natural and recycled materials as much as possible ) and developing a garden. Robin is setting up his mushroom farm. We speak English,French, Dutch and German.

We offer a stay in the French countryside. Bedroom has 2 single beds, you may have to share the room with someone. Bathroom will be shared also. We have internet
which you can use freely. There are lots of books, and music. We eat mostly organic food and while we do eat some meat we can cater to vegetarians. If you like hiking there are
lots of cool trails and the Morvan nature reserve is nearby.
We're very close to the canal du Nivernais. Bikes are available. Nevers, the closest city, is at 40 km.
We are looking for someone who likes to garden, h... more inside

We have an old farmhouse from 1854 near a small village in beautiful Burgundy. There are some shops, cafés and restaurants in the village.
We are a dutch couple, we have always traveled and worked a lot (backpacking mostly) but have decided to settle here for 8 out of twelve months. In the winter we hope to travel. We speak dutch, english, french, german, some spanish and italian.
This region is terrific for hiking and biking. Archeological digs from celtic and Roman times are nearby, so are some great lakes for boating and swimming.
We have a swimmingpool.
We do practically all the work ourselves, we have just finished fixing the roof. You would be able to help with painting, whitewashing, mowing the grass and some carpentry and lots more.
Skills and experience are terrific but two right hands and a pleasant personality are as important to us.
We have a pretty room for you on the attic or a caravan among the trees.

Jean-Paul and I live in a stone house and have, in the backyard, a small comfortable house for helpers with a bathroom and a bedroom on the ground floor and a bedroom upstairs. We have a vegetable garden and a few fruit trees.
Jean-Paul is a musician and my job was to teach adults. I'm now retired. We are 62 years old.
We need help in the garden to gather fallen branchs, cut the grass, build a henhouse and a shelter for the wood.
Around our place you can find a lot of historic places, castles, churchs. There is a lot of artists living around : comedians, musicians, craftsmen, etc. We have bicycles for helpers to go around in the countryside.
We propose you to share our meals, mostly organic fresh food from the garden.
When you arrive, we can fetch you in Cluny where you can get with the bus : http://www.saoneetloire71.fr/se-deplacer/transport-en-commun/reseau-buscephale/#.Vo1t2VKn5hs

Hello Helpers
Formerly Helpers in North America in 2014, we enjoyed help and you've met through this and wish to do the same in return.
Located in a small village next to Vezelay, the eternal hill classified UNESCO World Heritage, we wish to have one-time assistance following our projects.
We plan to do the renovation of home, gardening, land clearing, caring for bees and other activities of the moment.
The schedule will not be heavy, but it will be of good will, love being in the countryside, vineyards and speak a little French.
A room is provided, meals will be taken together, but general way Helpers will have the freedom to visit and enjoy Burgundy as they see fit.
Short-term stays will be more appreciated.
Hope to meet you!

Marine et Gaëtan

this is a quiet Hamlet set amongst pastures and hills in north burgundy - 4O minutes drive from Dijon - nearest shops are 8 kms. away. We are quite isolated. We offer a house and food in exchange for work in the garden and some house maintenance. This property was a farm and we have converted the three houses as rental homes with a swimming pool. Nearby cliff climbing......also Alésia - where Julius Caesar defeated the Gauls in 52BC......then lots of historical sites nearby.

In the Morvan, a 'Parc Naturel' in Burgundy, i live with 7 horses and 36 dogs on a Ranch with 4HA.

It's a lot of work, but i like it.

Because it's a lot of work i look for 1 or 2 persons to help me with the horses and the dogs. This for a period of some weeks up to some months.
And when i must visit family to look at the horses and the dogs.

I provide a room and meals and of course horse back riding.
