Our property is 20 minutes from the centre of Christchurch. We are a busy working family with 3 children, so you will need to enjoy the company of children! Helpers stay in a warm and private cottage with one double bed, own bathroom and kitchen. Limited Wifi is available, and we ask that you use it in your own cottage and not in the family home.

Food for breakfast/lunch is provided which you make in your own cottage, and dinner is shared with the family. We always appreciate a traditional meal (or anything else!) if you like to cook/bake and we expect help washing up after meals.

Help needed is varied depending on the time of year. You will either be helping us in our rose nursery or general help around the property/house, just wherever we need an extra pair of hands! Our helpers typically help for about 4.5 hours a day, with one day off.

Hello Helpers.

Gary and Robert are looking for helpers who want to experience the kiwi way of life and improve their English. If you can assist with all sorts of little jobs like washing the house, staining decks, painting, gardening, mowing lawns, collecting the produce from the garden and maybe some planting and watering it would be useful.

We are located in Cheviot, North Canterbury approx 1 hour and 20 minutes drive north of Christchurch or 50 minutes drive south of Kaikoura.

We are not organic but do grow our own vegies, fruit and herbs.

We have three Border Collie dogs called Isla, Cora and Frazer, a cat called Phoebe, our own sheep, chickens and three Jersey cows called Ruby, Chelsea and Poppy.

We can provide accommodation (your own room with queen bed and shared ensuite) and 3 meals per day.

We look forward to coming to stay.

We are strictly non-smoking including inside the house and outside.

We live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm between Greta Valley and Cheviot. We live on the coast at Napenape beach a beautiful beach for photography, walking, surf casting and diving. We have a small feijoa orchard and a large vegetable garden. We try hard to live off our land and love to entertain with friends.

We live on an established property with a big garden, tennis court and a small commercial walnut orchard half an hours drive north west of Christchurch. We have a sleepout with a queen sized bed and a spare room also with a queen sized bed in the house. Our house is warm and we have wifi. We have tools for fitting out your car/van.

We need help, harvesting the last of our walnuts for the season and also some help spreading small stones onto some of our garden paths. There is also some gardening work.

I am a landscape gardener and Julia is a teacher. We two friendly cats and no children. We both like to cook good food from many different countries that we share with you. We have travelled extensively both in New Zealand and in the world. We have done a lot of tramping in New Zealand and are happy to give advice on this. Julia speaks good French and some German.
