We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We are working towards self sufficiency growing our own produce. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcome cross-cultural experience.
We like our Helpxers to be happy, we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, concreting, painting, wood splitting, gardening, artistic skills, painting, domestic tasks, animal care). Having a car is an advantage as there is no public transport. We try to live a low waste local lifestyle and appreciate helper awareness of this. We negotiate hours for board and/or food and are happy to cook vegetarian :) we tend to exchange just accomodation for one days work a week for people that already have work in the area :)

The 36 cottages in this former 1950s timber town now provide holiday accommodation. We have just recommenced taking in Help-Xers starting February 2017. Staying here provides a glimpse of the Australian way of life from the 1950's.
The wildlife around the village is abundant and very tame - particularly the kangaroos, emus and parrots who may be fed by hand. There are also possums at night.
We are located in the Karri forest 30 minutes from Bridgetown or Manjimup (both have bus links to Perth) and offer magnificent forest walks and silent starry nights.
An enthusiastic small team operates the business. Accommodation is rustic, in old mill cottages with one common television in the village and limited mobile phone reception. Our accommodation for you may vary from a dormitory/bunkroom, staying in the manager's house or one of our cottages. We'll supply plenty of food to cook your own meals at your leisure, as well as 30 minutes of internet access a day. In return we ask for ... more inside

We have a small 4 acre property (not a farm) between town and the beach, we balance professional jobs with a rural family lifestyle close to the bush and river. We keep chickens, ducks, plus a few sheep too. There are also native animals to see and lots of birdlife around us too. We have built a house and have been planting and landscaping the property. This is a homestay in a family environment, therefore we welcome enquires from NON-SMOKERS ONLY.

We are always busy here and what you will be asked to do will depend on the weather, time of year, and the projects that are currently going on at the time. The work can often be physical and dirty for example, general maintenance, landscaping, planting, garden maintenance, including weeding, digging and watering, mulching, housework and ironing. We don't ask anything of helpxers that we wouldn't be prepared to do ourselves.

It is essential for your own safety that you understand English and are willing and able to follow instructi... more inside

Hi, I live on 8acres of land about 6ks out of picturesque Denmark (about 50km out Of Albany). It is truly a beautiful and prime part of West Australia. There are many tourist attractions around including the 'Valley of the Giants', the treetop walk, tingle trees, lots of glorious beaches and amazing forests just to mention a few. I need help any time of the year to run my small piece of paradise. I can supply a fully furnished caravan or studio. Both have a double bed a kitchen and free WIFI. In return I would like 2 - 4 hrs a day helping around the farm. I'm a very busy person and would love a extra hand or two to keep everything running smoothly. Besides my paid job i am also a wildlife carer and currently i have 3 young kangaroos in my care. They need bottle feeding 3 times a day and also supervision while outside. This is a great chance to get to know the Australian wildlife on a personal level. Also someone capable of using a grass cutter, lawn mower and gardening tools would... more inside

We require fit people to help out with farm duties such as fencing , sheep work, driving machinery and other small farm jobs. We also would require some help gardening, house maintenance and cleaning. We would love some help for about three to four hours.
Our farm is 30 min from the city of Geraldton, shops, public transport and the beach.
There is a river running through our farm and great opportunities for walking and canoeing.
We provide separate accommodation from the main house in your own cottage, washing facilities and a welcoming environment.
Some meals will be provided and a cup of tea with us on most mornings :)
You will need to have your own transport

We have had people from around the world stay with us and assisted with 2nd year work visa requirements. We enjoy meeting new people and are happy to help you with improving your English if needed. The minimum stay would be one week and the maximum stay is negotiable.

Hi there,

It's time to start planning for 2018 and the first dates for next year and my first hosting dates are now available.

**** NEW DATES AVAILABLE ****

I am looking for assistance 7th 8th and 9th of January. The work will be very easy and minimal, but I really need your help.

****

In 2017 I was involved in a major accident and broke my neck amongst other things. The length of time I can host has not changed, The work has possibly gotten easier.

I can only accommodate people for 2 - 4 nights in exchange for light work around the garden/house/pool etc and of course you get your own room and I supply all meals except for one where I ask that my guests prepare a "typical" meal from where ever they are from. The main reason for the limit of nights is that I now run my own adventure tour company and also do 4*4 tours and training. Nothing better than sleeping under the stars beside a fire after a good meal and a glass of wine. The house is located only 8km from t... more inside
