Sorry... booked out until early July. NON SMOKERS ONLY! I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm! Helpers assist me with cleaning, tidying & housework, gardening, weeding, feeding the chooks and cats, food preparation and cooking.
My house is a bit cluttered so I need YOUR help for a week or so to keep it clean and tidy, so this is not a suitable placement for helpers who don't want to do housework! Work hours depend on what I need you to do, so you must be flexible, but you will work an average of four hours a day. Minimum stay three nights.
I can collect/deliver you to/from anywhere in Launceston, the local bus depot or Launceston airport. You will be rewarded with good food, a room with a single bed and/or double air mattress, and a friendly household. My homestay uni student can also speak Mandarin Chinese.
Helpers MUST be NON SMOKERS. Due to allergies and my work with food I WON'T accept any helpers who smoke! No drugs or excessive alcohol consumption al... more inside

Hi,

We're currently looking for helpers for late June, July, August, September 2018.

We live near the centre of Hobart (15 minutes by bus or bike, 40 minutes walk). We have a large vegetable garden (in the photo you can see it needs weeding!), berries and fruit trees, and 3 chooks. You can see more photos of the house on our airbnb listing via our website link above.

We have a studio out the back for guests, with shared bathroom inside the house. WIFI is available (but doesn't always reach the studio out the back).

We have two sons in their teens (although one has recently moved to Melbourne soon for uni). We like being hosts so we can meet new people and introduce our sons to people from other cultures. We'd love to have people in our home who can share their stories (and cooking if they want!) and help out with the garden, odd jobs and a bit of housework.

We live near a cycleway and can usually lend helpers bikes to ride around Hobart. The MONA museum is an easy ri... more inside

Workers required as soon as possible, gardening, feeding animals, some light housework, scanning photos. Minimum stay 1 week, maximum depends on work available and worker suitability.
Although Tasmania is cold during winter, it is always warm and cosy by the wood fire in the evenings.

We're an easy going family, we are after a hand just helping about with the little jobs that need to be done at our farm house (ours for almost 30 years now :), situated just 35 minutes out of Launceston on the Frankford Hwy or 40min drive from the spirit of Tasmania boat, Devonport.

We also have a holiday house that needs the gardens maintaining that's just a quick walk to the golf course & beach in Lulworth.

We like happy, positive people who are easy going and have good stories and/or a good sense of humour. If you are a good worker and have handy skills, even better.

We are happy to host any clean, friendly, non-judgmental person if we're home on those dates and have space in our ho... more inside

Hi, my name is Claire.
I'm a part-time painter, decorator and landscaper who enjoys meeting people and helping make your stay a delightful treasured experience.

Welcome to my secluded eco-wilderness home, gateway to the Tarkine. I built the place from scratch, starting off in a tent 20 years ago in a desire to be as self-sufficient as possible. The solar powered chalet, crafted mainly from timber off the property, is furnished with comfy old world charm and modern amenities. Nestled in landscaped gardens on the banks of the pristine Hook Creek in the Shakespeare Hills and just a 15min drive to beaches and Rocky Cape National Park, this private 50 acre rainforest property is the perfect getaway for those seeking to experience and learn about establishing and living off the grid with solar power and slow combustion stove whilst having a unique wilderness adventure.

We're looking for a house sitter to take care of our chickens and fish from mid June to late July if anyone is up to braving the Tassie cold :)

We are located in the idyllic valley of Lorinna; an active, vibrant rural community with a strong cooperative ethos, frequent communal events and working bees, a food co-op, abundant wildlife and wonderfully clean soil, air and water.
We live on a property with several other households with whom we share work and resources and a stand-alone photovoltaic and micro-hydro power system.
We are a family of four with a 7 year old daughter and a 3 year old son whom we homeschool with a natural learning approach.
We've recently returned from a five month bicycle trip through Europe (planned around visiting some of the amazing friends we've made through Help X) and are keen to further embrace the joys of simplicity and are building a tiny home where we can live a more minimalist, outdoor lifestyle. We primarily need help with building and/or p... more inside
