UPDATE: We are looking for a responsible couple or two friends to volunteer with us for the whole duration of the UK summer holidays 2018. There is also the option of some paid work.

Hi there and thanks for reading our profile. To apply please tell us a bit about yourself, why you would like to volunteer with us, what relevant experience you have and what exact dates you are available.

The site: This position is ideal for nature lovers! Our beautiful off-grid campsite is located in a 600 acre woodland in East Sussex in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is a low noise, family-oriented place and no cars are allowed into the campsite. We have 'bring-your-own' tent pitches and glamping belltents each tucked into its own glade. We would like to hear from prospective helpers who would like to stay with us in 2018.
Your enthusiastic HelpXer input is needed to help bring back 5 hectares of beautiful south east facing down land in East Sussex back in to use after being neglected for many years. Lots of chopping, cutting, mowing and strimming. Chain saw skills an advantage. The new fencing is complete, and 4 lovely Herdwick sheep have arrived to help with the grazing. I am currently researching the possibility of growing vines on half of the south facing field, and am preparing for a pop up campsite next season The veg garden is up and running thanks to Michael and our helpers last year, and needs planting, weeding and maintaining to keep up supplies of lovely veg. to eat. The land is about 1.5 km from the house and is an easy cycle or pleasant walk through the fields via a footpath. We would also like help with DIY and other jobs at our home which is in need of some TLC.

This is a homestay in Hampshire, surrounded by open countryside and with a large garden. There are opportunities for Helpxers from September to November 2018 and it would ideally suit someone who is open-minded and aged around 18 to 40.

My name's Anthony; born in the UK in the 1950s I moved from London to Hampshire in October 2014. There is a variety of work to do here. When the weather is good enough we will be looking after the garden; clearing the weeds, tending the vegetable patch, building fences, chopping wood, cutting the grass, raking up the leaves, planting shrubs and trimming hedges. Inside the house there will be general cleaning and helping to prepare meals. Usually we would work as a team but it helps if you can self-motivate and work alone sometimes.

You have your own room and all meals provided, in return for just a few hours of work on five days a week; plenty of free time each day and days off to go to London or other places. I only have one room available for... more inside

We are moving and we need last minute help from the NOW until the 10th July. If you can come anytime in this period please get in touch.

Our next placement will be from October onwards at a new address to be updated soon.

We live in a large Cornish stone house. (I converted it from a barn in 2001/3) Set in about an acre of gardens, on the Lizard peninsular, almost as far south-west as you can travel on the UK mainland.

Overlooking the sea, "Falmouth Bay", and just a short walk to the beach. It's really very beautiful.
The area in which we live has been farmed for many hundreds of years.

**We have space from now until July 3nd only**

We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery in a small village beside the coast in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here.
Depending on the length of stay, volunteers might find themselves working in the garden with general maintenance and tending to our raised beds; assisting in the kitchen; helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions; or possibly working behind the bar (depending on experience). The nature and duration of the work varies depending on how busy we are; generally we ask for 4-6 hours per day, and sometimes shifts are split between lunch and evening. We are happy to provide days off where possible, but please be aware that weekends are our busy times.
Meals are generally provided from the pub kitchen, though we can ... more inside
