Are you the person/s we are looking for? As we approach our busy winter FOOD FESTIVAL season, we are looking for an individual or couple to come and stay with us and help our family with our business. We have 3 letting rooms, a pop up restaurant and an artisan food business.If anyone is good at decorating (painting) we would love to hear from you, although please don't rule yourself out if you aren't. We are based in stunning north Wales, (think of Liverpool and Manchester on a map and look left)! We are 5 miles from the A55 Expressway that can get you into Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, Snowdonia and the Isle of Anglesey within an hour. Wide sandy beaches are 10 miles away and the hills around here are great for cycling and walking. Whilst we are on a bus route, it is limited, so own transport would be an advantage, but not essential.
We are offering free accommodation for an individual/couple in exchange for 2 hours work a day from each person, normally that will be 10am -12 no... more inside

Ideally we are looking for a handy person to help in our wood work shop and to help on our small farm. We run a small business called Free Range Designs, that makes furniture and we are looking for somebody with carpentry experience to help us with some woodworking projects. Our woodwork shop is 10 minutes walk from our small farm where we keep animals(chickens, ducks, goats and horses) and grow vegetables.

We would like to get help building a Shepherds hut / Gypsy Caravan out of wood that will be used for guests and helpers. We are also building a wooden greenhouse and a sauna with a hot tub. All of these are going to be available to future helpers.
`
Accommodation is in a tidy caravan on the farm with a kitchen, Wifi, toilet facilities and a small wood burning stove. There is also a spare room in the house if this is preferred and if it does get too cold. We encourage helpers to live with us in the house but sometime it is nice to have a self contained caravan to go to if yo... more inside

We are at the early stages of restoring an old, large and characterful building, parts of which date to the 14th Century, with a walled garden, orchard and vegetable patch. We'll be creating a small yoga studio, accommodation rooms and community spaces. In the medium to long term we hope the site will host retreats and small scale events.

We need help with all kinds of work, including:
* helping with chores, keeping the house clean and tidy
* looking after the greenhouse and veg patch
* taking care of the chickens and cats
* roofing type work - fitting tin roofs to workshop outbuildings
* repairing walls and lintels
* making curtains
* carpentry type work - fixing dilapidated gates and doors
* determining feasibility of solar/ground source/wood heating and electricity sources
* documenting the building structures during renovation
* digging trenches for drainage
* designing a permaculture strategy for the site

I'm looking for help in building structures, planting more fruit and nut trees and herbs, gathering berries, making medicine/tinctures from the plants etc.

Welcome to our bit of madness!!! "Madness?" you ask. Well, we are trying to establish a forest garden on 2.5 ish acres of North facing, tree shaded land.
Forest gardens are difficult in a temperate climate anyway, we just enjoy a challenge! All that said we live in a beautiful home and a magical setting, no visible neighbours, the only houses we see are across the water on Anglesey.We are in the foothills of Snowdonia and have great walks starting from the house, Aber Falls being an hours walk over the hill.
This year we are doing a bit of building work, starting with a TreeBog!(Started) Maybe a decking to erect a 10 foot yurt on (One of those jobs I've thought about for 2 years and should crack on with.
The Helpers accommodation is a rather nice hut at the bottom of the garden with a double sleeping platform.
We have a dog Beany
Johnny works the garden and helps a couple of days in our shop.
Jo , Johnny and daughter Ceri have owned a local health food store for 16 yea... more inside

We are David and Nicky Rae and have 4 children all grown up now, 3 cats and 7 dogs (of various types!)
We live in North Wales close to the coast with views that look out to sea in one direction and up to the foot hills of Snowdonia the other, while overlooking the Conwy estuary.

We have a mixed stock farm with chickens, sheep, cows, and 2 piggies.
We run a small livery yard with horses and ponies.
The general jobs are to help with what ever is going on with the farm and or doing some gardening maintenance (summer) and light household chores.

At present we are hoping to find a couple who would like to be here to house and pet sit over the coming Christmas period for 2-3 weeks as we are planning to visit one of our sons in Australia.
We have help on the farm during the week days and there is always someone around with the horses so you would not be unsupported.

We will provide a car for you to use while you are here and leave money for food supplies.

I say 'couple' b... more inside
