We are a home educated family with two girls aged 4 and 2. We unschool. We started a couple of years ago to grow vegetables every summer and will be continuing to grow and learn as we go - in Northern Ireland we don't get amazing warm weather. We own a couple of chickens and have a decent sized garden for a town house. Town is about a five min walk and has entertainment and beaches very close. Giants causeway is close by too which brings tourists to the area. We love learning as we go and would love to share a journey with others along the way :)

We are a small independently run hostel in Belfast. Currently rated number 1 in Northern Ireland on hostelworld. We like to have people work with us who are friendly and outgoing, who are here to get something from this experience, socialize with the guests and staff, create a buzz and be a contributing character and presence to the hostel. In exchange for free accommodation in our 6 bed mixed staff dorm you will be required to work up to 3-4 hours a day either cleaning the hostel and making beds in the morning or reception duties during the day plus 1 night shift per week which is from 8pm to 8am. After your night shift you get that day off! We are a super friendly and chilled out hostel with artwork on nearly every wall which guests who are artists have done while they have stayed with us. We see it more of a homely feel hostel as the volunteers stay on site and they treat it as if it were their home. We do ask for a minimum stay of 1 month so you can learn the ropes and get famil... more inside

House by the sea with garden in the countryside. House warm and comfortable with all mod cons. We are a laid back couple who live on our own. Children grown up and living away. We aren't vegetarian but can happily accommodate vegetarians and people with different dietary exclusions. We enjoy meeting people from different cultures. Mandy speaks French and Spanish. We both work. We like music and entertaining. Mandy loves gardening. There is a village about 20 minutes along the beach or about 2 miles by the road. We used to have couchsurfers to stay. We would be interested in people helping in the garden a bit. It's nice to have company when gardening. If you don't like gardening there are DIY jobs to help with. We would like maybe 3 hours awork a day, 5 days a week. Jobs to be discussed and if you don't want to do one job we can find another you like. If we are off work we will try to take you to visit places of interest and help you plan outings. The beach is very nice for walking,... more inside

My name is Christine, and I am an Artist with over 20 years of experience in Pottery and Teaching.
I could do with help for some clearing and carpentry work. Fixing an out building and cutting grass.
It's in a rural area, and about 3 miles outside a small town. There is wood cutting and storage organisation for winter heat. Also build a patio for barbecue perhaps some painting of buildings too. This would be ideal for a more mature person or couple with some experience in these fields of work. There are bikes you can use in your spare time to explore the countryside and tourist attractions.
The work would be 4 to 5 hours a day.
In exchange for the work, you will have a bed, meals and a hot shower plus wifi

I have a large walled garden that is in it's second year of planting with veggies and fruit after lying dormant for some years. It is always in need of care and attention and developing more of the beds. Aside from that I work from my home workshop building boats and there may be the odd project around that.

There is one bedroom free in the house for one or two people.

ABLE TO HOST FROM SEPTEMBER TO MID OCTOBER
Lovely home facing the sea with beautiful views and an outside patio/garden area with potted plants and Chairs for relaxing. The area is near the famous causeway coastal area, near giants causeway and Dunluce castle and many other beauty spots, all very easy to get to from my home. There are local buses and trains within easy reach and the local area has plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs, churches, a local library and an Arts centre among other attractions such as beaches, walks, surfing. I offer a spacious double bedroom, use of internet, free meals, heating and electric in a nice quiet house of only one inhabitant (myself), in exchange for roughly 4 hours a day, 5 days a week help with some general household duties such as cooking, cleaning, light gardening (tidying of patio) and also some help with internet and computer. Would like to host someone to stay from 2 weeks to 1 month.
