We are looking for someone to help us with our guest house and garden, such as greeting guests, tidying up, cleaning, and maybe some light gardening with Tom during the busy summer season. If you like ponies we have a lovely friendly pony in stable and would be delighted if you could help out. We offer free accommodation 7 nights a week in exchange for circa 20 hours of help per week. This is a small, friendly cottage located on the outskirts of Waterford City Centre in the Suir river valley. Our philosophy is to offer a home away from home to international guests. Based in west Wicklow, I am semi-retired. My husband still works. We have two grown up daughters who come and go mainly at the weekend. I love gardening especially perennials and unusual bulbs but need help with it. I am looking for someone to help with general gardening tasks such as weeding, planting, dividing etc and some general house maintenance tasks starting in January 2018 in exchange for board and accommodation. I have a double bedroom available with a shared bathroom. Some horticultural experience/knowledge required. 1-2 weeks per visit. Approx. 20-30 hours work per week, weather dependent. No smokers please.
We live approximately an hour's drive from Dublin with beautiful local hills and lakes for exploring. There is a bus service into Dublin City centre. We love to hike and do a bit of cycling. We are a grass based dairy farm in county Kilkenny, there are lots of animals here - Dogs, hens, cats, peacocks and cows of course!
We live in a house built in the 1700s surrounded by beautiful mature trees and a walled garden.
