We re looking for help for September to the end of October, 2017....

We're lucky enough to live in a beautiful landscape with a good community spirit. You will be helping with some unusual structures, either permanent or sculpture to take to events. Essentially part of our aim is to create an arts Centre, retreat and sculpture trail with a focus on the natural environment. My partner Jessica myself and our two children Archer and Tallulah, aged 6 and 9, are situated in a beautiful valley just up from Bantry Bay in the Cork and Kerry mountains, 5 minutes from the sea with stunning views. My partner Jessica, is an environmental scientist and educator as well as a vegetarian chef. When I'm not constructing our living space I spend my time creating sculpture and designing spaces. Projects are realized with the use of practical skills such as metalwork and carpentry.
During the summer we go on the road creating installations whilst running a cafe at events. We live in a rather unus... more inside

A traditional Irish stone cottage built around 1850, set on the side of a hill with wonderful views and no neighbours close by.

We have a new roofing project about to start using traditional materials and techniques.

Currently looking for someone or ideally two people (a couple is good) who have an interest or a little experience in basic carpentry, fencing and gardening. Some of the work will be quite physical but the hours won't be unreasonable. We have all the tools and experience to show you the techniques needed to tackle these tasks.

Accommodation for helpers is a mobile home (large caravan), clean, dry and warmed by a wood burning stove. Food and fuel for the fire are provided and there's no problem giving a lift into town or to the bus if you have no transport.

Location is 30km west of Cork city and towns like Killarney, Bantry, Clonakilty and Skibereen are all less than an hours drive.

Our sheep farm is located at the beautiful cliffs of Downpatrick Head in the North of County Mayo. On a 200 acre farm, we breed the Lliyn and the Mayo Mountains Horny sheep, working with two fully trained collie dogs. During the lambing season (starting from March to April), we have a lot to do, caring about the new-bornís (assist with birthing, feeding with baby bottle, health issues). We also worked with veterinary students in the past. Furthermore, we offer a Polytunnel and are home of 30 hens, producing free-range eggs for my family. Our water comes from our own spring well on the farm site. The farm is supported by my two sons, 15 and 17 and one daughter., and one or two helpers(preferably over the age of 20). There is a independent 2 bedroom accommodation for helpers. We are working to offer you your own kitchen as soon as possible (as work is in progress, you can share a kitchen in the mobile home). We are looking forward to meeting you and are most happy to support you in le... more inside

Hello and thank you for reading our profile. We are a farming family living near Macroom in County Cork. There are five children in the family aged between 7 and 14. Ours is a dairy farm and we are milking 200 cows with the help of one full-time worker and one part-time. We have four dogs - all border collies - who are trained to work hard as well!

We are looking for volunteers who enjoy country life and who are creative and enthusiastic. We of course welcome people who would like to help out with farm work. We are also interested in hosting people who are interested in housework and cooking.

I (Grett, the Mommy!) work three days a week as a journalist. We have a child minder who comes to look after the children three afternoons a week, while I am working. At the moment I am doing a part-time post-graduate course at Cork university so I am busy on my days off, writing essays and researching projects. Because of this we need help around the house (with cleaning, laundry and c... more inside

ABOUT THE OPAL CENTRE:
OPAL consists of a house, Holistic Centre, outbuildings and garden area. It is in the heart of a rural part of Ireland, a small village called Donamon, which is approximately 15km outside of Roscommon Town. This makes it a great location for a peaceful and relaxed stay, whilst being fairly close to Roscommon town. It is a short drive from a number of great places to visit. There is no public transport from Donamon so you would need a car or bike to travel anywhere that is not in walking distance, although I am happy to give you a lift if I am going into town, etc.

Set in a rural environment it is an ideal location for a relaxing break, a retreat or fishing, walking, etc. whilst providing us with some help. We are a short walk from the river Suck and Donamon Castle.

OPAL offers a tranquil setting where you can escape from the distractions of modern day life. Our aim is to provide a peaceful and quiet environment, suitable for relaxation and retreat. For... more inside

A family of four (1 away college) with an an acre of garden. On the Wild Atlantic way, which needs structure and pruning and general upkeep for a short time during September.

There is no heavy work involved and any jobs with me are weather permitting. We have a polytunnel for tomatoes etc some ducks two goats and chickens on the way.

Basically I just need help. Would suit girl 20's as we have a daughter. Would suit someone starting off or getting ready to return home relaxed. You will be made welcome. We like cooking in the evenings. If we were asked for a preference country we would say Spain as we go there. Non smoker.

I am a textile / graphic designer and so maybe you prefer textile / design / SEO / instead.
