Hi. I have a lovely little house in the hills of south Hobart. I am looking for helpers that have some building experience to help around the property and house. I am wanting to start up an organic garden, build a fence ect.
I would be expecting 4 hours work a day in exchange for accommodation and food. Workers are welcome to take the weekends off to explore Hobart and Tasmania.
Im in to hiking, the ocean, mountain bike riding and socialising with friends. I have extensive bush walking experience so will be able to give you good tips of beautiful places to go.

The homestead is on 8 hectares with old stables and grand old established English style trees, while the remaining beef grazing property is a few kilometers away. Included on the property is a 300ML dam suitable for trout fly fishing.
We are a middle aged couple with a 18 year old son and looking for assistance with the many tasks associated with maintaining this property. We have 1 small dog, 4 cats, 3 turkeys and a number of chickens. We graze around 70 beef cattle and calves using time controlled grazing.
We try to be self sufficient and have a home orchard and vegetable garden and follow sustainable agricultural principles including crop rotation & companion planting. Tasks required will be seasonal according to the garden and farming ac... more inside

We are living in the Central Highlands of Tasmania. The area is surrounded by lakes and a big attraction is the trout fishing. We are in the final stages of building an energy efficient house and would love to meet helpers and have their assistance with some jobs at the building site. Probably best if the helper has practical skills and is able to assist with the completion of our project with painting and other work. The area has lovely natural scenery with plenty of wildlife sometimes at our front door.
Come and enjoy life in the highlands, see the wildlife, meet local people and be comfortably accommodated in a modern house. Also have the chance to learn fly fishing.

We live in South Hobart, down by the little river that runs off the mountain, easy walking distance to town, and beautiful views of Mt Wellington. We live in a big old house with a large garden. We are currently building a yoga studio in our back yard. So far the cement slab has been poured and now we are ready to build. There is also lots of landscaping to be done. We are looking for people willing to help on this building project. It will be interesting, enjoyable work.
We will make sure you enjoy yourself, have plenty of time to explore the surroundings, relax, and have plenty of laughs.

Located in the centre of Geeveston, our house is on 5 acres with a sunny aspect and beautiful views. We are on a bus route to Hobart via the Huon Valley. Nearby are the Hartz Mountains, Tahune Airwalk and some lovely beaches.

Our land is a mixture of fruit trees, pasture and bush.

We have 6 sheep, 2 chickens and 1 cat. There is a platypus in the river across the road.
-------------------------------------------------

We need people who can work by themselves. We work most of the week so will not be available to help you.

There are 3 areas of work:
1. Land clearing in preparation for bushfire season. Removing wood, weeding, etc. Please only offer to do this work if you can work independently and you can work hard.

2. Inside work: Professional builders are renovating the inside of the house. We need help with tidying up and cleaning after the builders. You will not be required to do building work.

3. General house work as you would expect when living in a family ... more inside

We live on a waterfront bush block looking across Bruny Island, the Channel and Storm Bay, approximately 30 minutes from Hobart. We have a 60 foot classic timber boat moored down the road, and have a comfortable room in our office / workshop located about 100m from the house as accommodation (kitchen and bathroom can be used in the main house). We would welcome visitors to stay with my family and join us in our generally pretty fun lifestyle, depending on how long you stay it may include some boat trips. We need help with building / improving a walking track to the water (a marine reserve), oiling the deck of the house and some general boat maintenance. Nothing too difficult, but you'd need to be fit and reasonably practical. A great opportunity for the right person. We provide meals and accommodation in exchange for a good helping hand.
