We are a modest (14 bed) backpackers hostel, in a beutiful country location close to the Eden Project and the town of St Austell in mid Cornwall.
The hostel is immediately adjacent to our cottage and utilises an existing complex of a stable yard and buildings. These have been sensitively converted into two dorms, a common area, shower block and courtyard kitchen.
We also have a modest growing area for organic soft fruits and vegetables.

50 years ago this was a small but busy farm. Two ladies worked it until they fell out, and one left. After that nothing was done, the land went back to wild, the buildings rotted away for nearly 50 years, until everything was ruins. I have now rebuilt the house ( 17th century) made a start on the buildings, and need help with reclaiming the land, and continuing restoration of the barns etc.
and making a garden. The farm stands alongside a babbling brook, with wonderful bird life, lots of trees....but lots of hard work ! Sense of humour necessary, warm welcome but no drugs of any sort, though you can expect a glass of wine or similar at the end of a hard day.

We are a small mixed traditional farm with a flock of rare breed Jacob sheep, several horses and ponies, 2 suckler cows and calves, chickens, ducks and geese, pet pigs plus occasionally a few free range pigs. Looking for help with animals and yard duties plus help on allotments, with gardening and general maintenance, it would be lovely if you would do some housework too but that's not the most important thing in our lives! We are very animal orientated with 4 dogs and cats in the houseanf occasionally an orphan lamb so you must be happy to live in close proximity to animals, due to this the house can be untidy and not the cleanest! We expect 25 hours work a week and five 2 full days per week off and hope you will be flexible with hours and days, we will be flexible with you in return and hope to accommodate any particular days off you may want. Hi!
My name is Sam, I was once a help X volunteer too! I am currently starting a new venture on our family farm in the heart of Kent, south east England.
We are on the top of a hill and a 5 min drive to the beach, beautiful countryside. Close to Canterbury city for a day trip and an hour from London.
My family, are just improving their farmhouse. We are looking for people to come and help on and around the farm. We are offering free accommodation, and meals, but the details can be discussed with the volunteers.
Our values are in getting back to nature but diversifying the farm. We do eat meat, and smokers are welcome due to my mum! However we would like you to be for and confident with animals, if this is something that interests you please email me for more details.
Look forward to hearing from interesting people!

Just to update... We are looking to start running events and weddings, so are looking for flexibke people, who are good with a paintbrush, clearing outside,... more inside

We have a small farm with wonderful views of the countryside. It is a 20 minute walk to the South West Coastal path and the rugged North Devon coastline. We are three miles from the nearest small town and so life here is quiet.
We have chickens, ducks, geese, traditional Devon Cattle, vegetable & fruit gardens and tunnels, and extensive gardens.
We also run a small tearoom which serves organic teas and homemade organic cakes, from our home which is open to the public. This is normally run by us, with the help of some volunteers.
We would like someone to help with looking after the poultry, helping weeding and maintaining the extensive gardens. We would like you to help in the tearoom, helping with serving, washing up, clearing dishes and preparing cream teas.
We ask our volunteers to work 6 hours a day for 5 days a week, with Sunday and Monday as the days off.

I live in the northern part of Dartmoor National Park, one of the most scenic parts of England. I need help with my dairy shop in the town of Chagford. Work will include things like baking, ice cream making, selling products such as cheeses, cleaning, accounting, phone calls, etc etc. Sometimes ice cream sales will take place at shows. There will also be some housework to do every couple of days in the house we share.

Help-xers will work for approximately 5 hours each day, 6 days a week, depending on what is necessary at the time. Sometimes the tasks will be done together with me, sometimes the work needs to be done independently. I can be flexible with the timetable sometimes according to helpxers plans for their free time. I have a Newfoundland dog and I am looking for someone who enjoys spending time with her and walking with her sometimes. In addition to the day's tasks, the helpxers and I sometimes share supper preparation by cooking on alternate nights.
