Mid North Coast - New South Wales
Bowarra is a Bio-Dynamic Beef and garlic property on the Manning River, 15 minutes from Wingham and 30 minutes from Taree.
We love to look after the land. Our farm is 48 hectares, picturesque and with a comfortable farm house.
We have 1 dog, a pig, 2 goats & a sheep plus our breeding herd of Murray grey cattle & 2 horses. We are on the river so swimming kayaking, fishing and generally getting into nature are all at your door. We are 30 minutes from the beach and as Bruce loves to surf we get out to beach when the surfs up or it's super hot in summer.
Generally work involves feeding animals, planting trees, weeding, gardening, helping round the house, moving animals and general duties that pop up along the way.
We welcome you to share our beautiful farm, enjoy meals and get stuck into some of the jobs that are made easier when we work together.
We are located less than 15 minutes from Wingham train station and 30 minutes from Taree bus... more inside

This is a great chance to experience life in the real Australian bush with a group of other young people from all over the world, in a safe, healthy, fun environment.

We are located in a spectacular setting (see photos) surrounded by thousands of acres of National Park and have lots of native animals on site.

Attunga has been established for almost 30 years. Each year we host camps for schools, scouts, youth, church and community groups. We are a non-profit Christian Camp & Conference Centre located just 2 hours south of Sydney on 300 spectacular acres in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW.

Several thousand guests stay here each year in guest groups, and we often have volunteers staying with us who remain great friends for life.

See our first website link above for pics of our previous volunteer projects.

We are seeking a small number of volunteers to work here in exchange for amazing food, accommodation & use of our great guest facilities.

The work is ... more inside

We are situated in the Gloucester Tops on the Gloucester River, in a beautiful valley that runs from river to mountain tops.
We are 28km from the town of Gloucester, the closest town to the World Heritage Barrington Tops National Park.
We breed, train and show Australian Stock Horses as well as raise beef cattle.
During your stay the type work we have includes stable mucking out and preparing feeds for horses, fence painting, housework, and anything else that needs doing on a busy horse establishment. If you are a competent rider, you may be asked to warm up and ride horses in training or for show preparation.
We have one permanent female employee plus ourselves who live here.
There is never a dull moment here with plenty of things to see and do. The pristine Gloucester River runs through our property and on a hot day we go swimming to cool down in its icy water. Although we are fairly remotely situated, we do get a lot of visitors with clientele visiting their horses that a... more inside
