We are a young family of 4 and have recently purchased a little piece of paradise. Our main objective is to turn our 8 acres into a productive space based on permaculture principles to try and achieve a certain level of self sufficiency. We have sheep, beef, meat chickens, laying chickens, pigs, bees and fish in the dams. We are currently working at extending the vegetable patch and orchard, landscaping the backyard and planting trees. Jake also works with wood and has a saw milling business. There are more projects on the go than we can count!
We would love to welcome a person or couple who loves the outdoors and doesn't mind physical tasks.
Can pick up from Albury/Wodonga.

We are located in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges. We are 10 minutes south of Gembrook and 10 minutes north of Pakenham. We are accessible by public transport - a bus from Gembrook to Pakenham Station regularly runs past our property.

We are both horse riding instructors. We breed hereford cattle and run livery for horses, as well as working and training our own horses.

Running a property and business, as well as bringing up a 9 year old daughter, is a lot of work. Add to this the fact that I am going back to full time teaching, and we will really need some help with the feeding and care of the horses, so we would love the help of a clean living, non-smoking female or a couple of females, to assist us with our cattle and horses, in exchange for meals and comfortable accommodation in our family home. You will be treated like a member of our family.

Your room features a queen bed, TV/DVD player and wifi, and the door opens straight out to the swimming pool.

We are a non-profit, volunteer-operated centre, where the retreats are facilitated by the enthusiastic work of people dedicated to making each visit a success.

We welcome volunteers in a variety of areas and aim to place you in a role that utilises your strengths and stimulates your interest. Because we run both a retreat centre and organic garden, volunteer positions are available in every aspect of service, from helping hands in the kitchen to working in the garden.

We are a German family that has been living in Melbourne since 2006.

We offer a free private room, delicious meals, wireless Internet and a German-Australian family home.

In exchange we are looking for someone who can help for up to 3 hours a day with:

- driving (driver license essential, we have a car)
- picking up and spending time with our little son (4 years old)
- helping with things around the house and garden

Time: 04 July - 18 July 2017

It would be preferable but not essential that you speak German.

You will have plenty of time to enjoy the day, go to work or do whatever you need to do. The train station to the city is in walking distance. Please get in contact, if you are interested or share the post, if you know someone who would! Thank you! (-:

Update: We currently have room for HelpXers. I have a couple of gardens that desperately need attention and a good dose of Spring cleaning that needs to be done. Hope to hear from you soon.

This hotel is located 15km south of Orbost and 396km east of Melbourne, Marlo is a holiday and fishing village at the mouth of the Snowy River, popular with fisherman, water enthusiasts and anyone who wants a bit of seaside relaxation.

There is very limited public transport but we do offer a bicycle for use during your visit, we also have free wifi that is available for all.

We are a friendly country pub. The main work will be cleaning, maintenance and gardening, 4 hours a day in return for 3 meals and basic bungalow accomodation with bunk beds. It is not homestay and the food will be pub bistro style with a continental breakfast.

To get here from Melbourne Airport, catch the shuttle to Southern Cross Station and then the train/bus directly to Marlo. Links below:

Our approach to being custodians of the land we live on is to grow as much of our food and fuel as we can using permaculture principles. We also provide habitat for wildlife and try to walk as softly on the earth as we can. You'll live in a our much-loved first home, a cosy self-contained mudbrick cottage - with excellent wifi! We're mostly vegetarian and happily accommodate vegans. We enjoy good healthy food, good conversation, and good company.
