Our lovely Flower Farm is the perfect base for your travels around this beautiful state of ours called Tasmania. With so many sights to see and adventures to have you will want to stay forever.
The wonderful north west coast of tasmania is breathtaking and with the warm spring weather upon us this is an opportunity not to miss out on. You'll have plenty of time to sun bathe, go bush walking or just get to know the local wildlife.
You'll enjoy working with our friendly, helpful staff, while having private accommodation and your own kitchen, bathroom and living room to relax in. Your own transport (or drivers license) would definitely be a plus as Tasmania's got so much to discover that isn't accessible via public transport.
We look forward to having you stay with us.

Welcome to Whakauti,

We are a family of 5, Myself and my daughter and our 3 rescue dogs.
We live in the beautiful Huon Valley in a place called Cradoc which is close to Cygnet and Huonville township.
Our home is on 16 acres of Bushland where we grow some of our food and maintain and cut our own firewood, and enjoy building and creating.
Our home is simple...we cook off gas and sometimes off our fire and we are on tank water, which means we have to watch our usage in the summertime due to lack of rain.
We are vegetarians and love our food especially when we experience a dish that someone else has prepared for us from another country.

We would be asking for 3- 4 hours a day 5 days a week with 2 days off to explore and enjoy your time in Tasmania. We offer 1-2 weeks stay depending on our availability. We also love spending time with our dogs, maintaining our home and property and chilling out at our local cafes, which I am sure you will love too.

Work hard - play hard! In the heart of Tasmania's north, we produce two main crops - tomatoes and garlic. We sell directly to farmers' markets, restaurants, specialty stores and nurseries. We also produce a wide range of quality garlic and tomato-based products. There are many opportunities to learn a number of skills, from general farm work to cooking, preserving, packing and marketing.(Of course, tasting is an essential requirement).
We work hard but also offer a wide range of opportunities to play hard after work. We are just a few minutes away from a popular fishing lake. Our kayaks are a great way to explore the lake. We have horses, bikes, quiet back roads, lots of walking tracks to explore and some bushwalking gear for hire. The night stars are stunning and can be enjoyed from the comfort of a swag if you choose.
Helpers are provided with comfortable accommodation, all meals and a family environment.
