We are a consciously minded holistic family and keep our home toxin free as much as we can. We are very interested in spirituality and personal development. With 2 children who are both spirited and bright, life is never boring!

We eat wholesome, mostly organic food plus ethically reared meat.

Our home is a semi detached house on a cul de sac at the edge of a village, with amazing views. You'll have your own double bedroom.

We are warm and welcoming but short of time and energy! Volunteers will be very welcome to join in with family outings, meals and evenings out to the pub (when they happen!) etc. but will need to take care of themselves most of the time, particularly in the evenings when Tom and I catch up with each other.

Our children are fun, and sometimes challenging. Our older child has higher needs at times.

We are sociable at meal times but often find we need to be private in the evenings, to catch up with each other and sleep. We do usually get together fo... more inside

Please note - it looks like we now have enough volunteers until the 26th April. Ju;y and August are nearly full now too.

A large old property in need of repair with a large garden in need of care. The work is varied - hedgetrimming, mowing lawns, weeding the vegetable patch, clearing undergrowth from the wooded area. Also exterior and interior sanding and painting. We try to work outside in good weather and save indoor jobs for poor weather unless they are urgent.
We rent out 2 rooms and a caravan on Airbnb during the main tourist season so there is the possibility of some housekeeping tasks between May-September.
We ask for 20 hours of work a week in exchange for food and accommodation. Outside of the agreed hours you are free to explore the area. We do ask, however, that you do not bring additional guests back to the house.
We are a 10 minute walk from a large beach and 100 metres from the Hayle Estuary.

You will have your own room with wifi. If you come as a couple, y... more inside

A great opportunity to join us on our picturesque small holding in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, where we live with our two boys George (10) & Alfie (8), plus two crazy dogs, 12 sheep and 6 chickens!

We have a selection of BnB and self-catering accommodation, and are in the middle of big building project to add some more to our portfollio!

As well as the work in the BnBs, we also need help outside in our garden and vegetable plot, plus there is also the chance to help out with the workshops too and help out with some cooking in the kitchen ..so life is very varied!

Anyone who stays with us does live with us as part of our family, so it is important for us to know that you are a family person! In return, we can provide comfortable accommodation, great food and a lively family life! Note: Strictly non-smoking!

We are a not-for-profit organisation based in Devon in South West England running UK and European training projects that help people achieve their goals for nature, science, education and employment. We're based on a stunning 80-acre organic next to the River Dart and is managed for nature, food and learning. The farm is Soil Association organic certified and is under Higher Level Stewardship - our small herd of cattle and flock of sheep graze the land to improve biodiversity.

On the farm we also host a charity that helps adults with learning difficulties who engage in our fulfilling agricultural activities and the daily running of the farm.

Job description

We're looking for lovely and enthusiastic person to help us with the improvement and maintenance of our market garden as well as general duties across the farm.

I have recently moved to England and have an old Victorian house that needs a lot of loving restoration as it has not had much done to it for many years. The garden is also abandoned although
fortunately there are some well established plants so at the moment I am anxious to get the vegetable growing area sorted, perhaps with raised beds.
Weston Super Mare is on the coast, not far from the vibrant city of Bristol. Its an well known seaside town with some very old fashioned aspects such as the pier, promenade and a huge sandy beach, but it has had a lot of attention recently as the famous Dismaland Exhibition by Banksy was held there. The city of Bristol is one of the most innovative cities in the UK with a big university, art galleries, cinemas, parks and is only a 20 minute train journey from Weston. It also has an international airport.
During the past 20 years I have been living in Spain where I often had Helpx workers staying with me, and I have been very happy with them... more inside

We currently have no space for Summer17.

We have a suckler herd and are beef farmers, non intensive. We are gradually developing a pedigree herd of Ruby Red Devons. All our cattle are grass fed from what is made on our land. We farm on the Somerset Levels, in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.
The village is set between 2 moors and is a bus ride away from Taunton.
We are a husband and wife team who need extra help over the Summer to produce hay and silage. Experience of tractor driving and towing is preferred!
If you stay with us you will put in about 5 hours of work a day. Depending on your own plans, that can mean you work fuller days (more hours) to allow a longer break of several cohesive days "off" after that.
You'll live with us as a family member in a caravan, with access to all facilities like free wi-fi internet, TV, laundry
If you're a couple or friends, you'll share the caravan. Lovely shower room.
Since this work arrangement should be a "win-win"... more inside
