We farm French Black Truffles. The farm is 90 minutes from Melbourne, close to Phillip Island, Wilson's Promontory, natural forests and many beautiful beaches. The work available involves planting, weeding, pruning, soil improvement and general gardening. The accommodation is in the home on the farm. This location would ideally suit a person with a vehicle (though not essential) so they can take advantage of discovering this very special environment.

My parents live on the Murray River on a beautiful property full of river red gums. They are quite elderly and unable to do much in the way of cleaning.
You would be required to do some light house duties, some cleaning , gardening and maybe some weed control on the farm.
Cattle duties depend on your level of skill with animals.
Some fencing may be required but optional.
We are warm and friendly people with a keen interest in others.
We have a caravan overlooking the beautiful river flats which you would be staying in. The house is very close by. Food is included however you need to cook for yourself.
Rutherglen is a lovely area and the country side is very pretty at the moment because of all the rain.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Warm Regards, Kath

We are looking for someone to help out around our busy home in exchange for food and accommodation. We have 2 gorgeous boys aged 3 and 5 yrs, 2 small dogs and 7 sheep. We are renovating our house and working on the garden, so there is always something to do. We both run our own businesses so we may need you to look after the boys at times, or help with work in the garden, or if you have the skills to help with work on the house. You will have your own bedroom but will need to share a bathroom and toilet at least in the short term. We live around 1.5 hours from Melbourne, accessible by public bus, in hilly, green South Gippsland. Experience working with young children is preferable, but if you have the right personality and skills, experience is not essential. Strictly NO SMOKERS. No drugs or excessive alcohol. Free WiFi access so long as download sizes are reasonable. We are happy to do bus/train pick ups. We live around 40 minutes drive from Phillip Island & other beautiful beaches... more inside

We live on a sheep and cropping farm near the Grampians (in western Victoria about 3.5 hours from Melbourne ) 8km east of Cavendish, a small village, with our 28 yer old son who has just come home to the farm. We have holiday cottages on the farm as well as lots of sheep. We have 1 farm worker so I am really looking for help around the home, garden/vege garden, generally cleaning, domestic/handyman, and 'it' skills would be an asset, (4 hours work)in return for board and meals. We are an older couple but not too boring, we have 3 children in their 30's who keep us in the 21st century!!!. You would have your own room and bathroom (now to share with our son)and you would be part of the family. We would prefer a single person or a couple..... a car would be an asset as we are near the mountains. We can collect you from Dunkeld or Hamilton if you arrive by the Vline bus. I would anticipate a weeks stay would be a good option. Its a good half way stop from Adelaide to Melbourne or a sto... more inside

Hello,
We are a family of 4, 2 parents with a 9y.o daughter and a 2 y o son.
Our home on the outskirts of Lilydale is located in a rural setting with kangaroo's, birds, horses, sheep and lama's all viewable from the kitchen window!!,
the bus stop is only 500 meters from our doorstep, so to Melbourne CBD is just over an hour by public transport. You can have the best of both worlds, exploring the yarra valley wine region, dandenong ranges and the city.
We are open-minded, fun-loving creatures with a lust for life. We love art and music, especially roots/reggae/rocksteady!
We appreciate positive and respectful company.
Because we have young children in the family we ask for helpers to commit to a minimum 2 week stay. It also means that there's more likely time to show you something special in the area.
We are looking for help in the garden, household and/or with childcare.
If anyone knows how to build a fox proof chicken house with recycled materials, or how to design a webs... more inside

*Thank you for looking at our profile. We are currently unable to receive guests due to some work going on in the house*

Good luck with your travels.

Hello we are a family of 3: Will, Millie and Ollie.

We live in a lovely little pocket of Melbourne, 14km from Melbourne CBD. There are shops and public transport close by, with the lovely Darebin Creek bike track at our doorstep. The three of us live in our little oasis with gorgeous Kelpie-cross, Zoe.

We love the arts - Will is an English teacher, painter and poet and Millie works in the arts while Ollie goes to school.

We take frequent walks along the creek - giving both the child and dog a run! - and love cooking good food. Our garden is full of fruit trees and vegetables, although the vegetables clearly vary with the season. And effort.

We would dearly love to have someone come and live with us to help with some after-school childcare over a busy time at both of our work. We will need some help around the hous... more inside

Located in Toolangi Victoria, Australia on 40 Acres, we are situated 1 hour and 15 minutes from Melbourne's CBD. We are a young family of 4; Tania, Luke, Javier (7) and Sol (4) and would love to have some help maintaining the property. We also have chickens, two dogs and two cats, although the animals do not enter the bungalow you would be staying in.

We would love to gain your help in doing some small projects such as making a brick garden wall, helping build a tree house or just lots of gardening, blackberry removal and tree pruning. When enquiring please specify what interests you and I am sure we can find something that would suit!
