We do not live on the property full time. every weekend, from friday to monday morning we stay on the property. we need helpers who are interested in gardening and landscaping and we have built guest quarters. We are an open community in the mountains(Serra Calderona). We work rebuilding an ancient arab village(alquería), for preserving the clever and sustainable culture of living in harmony with the nature.
The settlement it's from the XI century, located in a lost valley between mountains, with a high environmental value.
It gives us the life a clear water river that flows between red stones(rodeno) and a dense mediterranean forest.
The village it's composed by around 20 houses ruins, a defensive tower and 3 buildings that we are actually rebuilding, and where we already have a communitary dinning room and kitchen, as well as a workshop, a warehouse, library, goat yards, a hen house and sleeping places.
Olla village has also a big terraced farming surface, where predominate the centenary olive trees, the almond and cherry trees and the orchard terraces, all of them worked up under the permaculture principles.
The village has communitary shower installations, dry wc, swimming pool, ... more inside

Organic milk producing cow farm with free range cows. In addition, we also have cats, dogs, horses, and a small organic vegetable garden that we would like to expand. There are two of us; my father and I, we would like to share our work and our lifestyle with people from different places. That also includes the possibility of learning how to make cheese or yoghurt with our own milk and visit some wild horses that live nearby.
We are in the center of Galicia so we are quite close (about 50km) to everything: La Coruña, Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, etc. We are on the Saint Jame's Way (Camino de Santiago).
We're located about 2km away from the town of Melide which has all kinds of services: internet, library, museum, shops, restaurants, etc. There is also a big market each Sunday.
We're looking for people to help us on a daily basis with the cows and the garden, and I would be glad to host someone who could help me tame my two lovely horses. One of them is already older and quiet, s... more inside

Hello/Hola,

Our names are Sébastien and Felipe. We are working on an ecotourism project in a small village of Segovia, Peñarrubias de Pirón, in the center of Spain. Right now, we are building a straw bale guesthouse.

It is mostly a self building project. We have both followed a straw bale training.

Here, autumn and winter are cold because we are closed to the mountains (Sierra de Guadarrama). But summers are hot.

If you are motivated in learning about ecobuilding and/or have already some experience in this area, please contact us so we can explain you more about our project and about practical aspects.

We are living in Villovela de Pirón, a neighboring village 5 to 10 minutes drive away from the works. There are a room with double bed and another room with single bed.

We are about 20 km far from Segovia city with few connections (only 5 buses per day).

We are opened to your propositions but are looking for serious helper who can stay for one week at least.... more inside

Untouched nature provides opportunities for various sports such as, trekking, climbing, rafting, baranco ...

We are Looking for nature lovers, gardening passionates, cooks, helpers, happy strong young people who want to help us out 4 hours a day.
