A small picturesque farm situated on a river between two big forested national parks in East Gippsland. Witchwood is tucked into the hills just below the Errinundra plateau which is a stronghold of giant old growth trees.
The settlement of Goongerah has a population of about 40 people, a school, various community groups but no shops, TV or mobile reception (it does have satellite internet and landline phones).
The property is run organically and has a large food production and preserving set-up; vegie gardens, orchard, chickens, geese and dairy goats, as well as two Clydesdale horses, two dogs and even free-range guinea pigs in the orchard. Self-sufficient in fruit, veggies, eggs and milk. Still working on chocolate and vegemite.
Have piano but no time to learn - so piano players welcome!
Property is 100% solar powered and has a water wheel for pumping to the hill tank from the river.
A lot of my time is spent working to protect the East Gippsland forests from clearfell lo... more inside

Merbein is situated near Mildura on the Murray river. There are direct flights from Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide to Mildura and also bus services. Mildura is a tourist area with river activities, fruit growing, wine region and is on the state boarder with N.S.W and a one hour drive to S.A.
I am currently renovating three houses and am looking for people with any building skills, painting, gardening, cleaning and general handy man skills. I will be working with you and will help and train where ever I can. I can pick you up from airport or bus station. Mum's 1-acre garden requires attention, but I am mostly just seeking company for Mum, while weeding and pruning, and whilst enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
No smoking.
Suits a quiet, gentle person.
Mum is learned, and well travelled.
Any details may be discussed on contact.
Previous people have learned to drive a car, gone sightseeing, and on bush-walks; played with the cats and dog, and helped with shopping and errands.
Mum is very wary of being taken advantage of, or being left in a vulnerable position: clearly, I would be only seeking individuals that would appreciate the need to be forward in their understanding of her concerns: as well as being discerning with contact details and personal business, and private affairs.
Dad and myself are around, and sometimes my daughter: but we will each have our own undertakings.

It would be advantageous if you wrote a lot of details in your first contact: centring on things like your expectations, preferences of foods/aller... more inside
