Hi, we are Massi (1980), Robin (1984) and our four children Jonah (2005), Kaya (2011), Kilian (2013) and Timo (2016).
We have a sheep breeding in the hills between Florence (20 km) and Arezzo (40 km).
We milk and transform the milk to delicious Pecorino cheese. We also have pigs, rabbits, chicken, pigeons, cats and dogs. We cultivate a vegetable garden and try to live from our own products as much as possible. We like to cook excellent Tuscany dishes (no vegan) and stay together with our friends.
We need help in the stables, fence constructions, cheese production, firewood cutting, chipping and construction works on our house (carpentering, plumbing and electricity work). It would be also nice, if you'll spent some time with our children.
We speak Italian and German.

How many shades of blue are there in the world? How does it feel to watch the sun through the filter of the water surface? What does it feel like to dive deeper and deeper, enjoying the journey with no hurry to go back up for air? Aside from technicalities and apart from a sheer and healthy taste for adventure, this is what our Diving School really cares to share with you. We want to show a wider world to our students; we want to help them blur borders and boundaries; we want to discover – together – new ways of approaching and understanding life, coming one with a beloved environment while pursuing your own happiness and seeking your own place in the world.

In order to do all this, we may use your help :)

Paola and Samuele, we’re a couple on their 40s from Milan, from which we escaped five years ago looking for a creative life in contact with nature, far from the stressful routine of the city. We’re renovating an old traditional piedmontese stone farmhouse located in Val Grue near the border of Apennino Ligure, the mountains between Piemonte and Liguria.
Both Milano and Genova are 70km away and easily connected by train from Tortona (the nearest city, 15 km away from here). Cascina San Martino is on the top of a hill with a beautiful scenery around, near a forest frequented by mushroom, chestnuts and truffle hunters. We’re a few minutes away from Strette di Pertosa, a unique river running within a deep rocky canyon where we often bathe during the summer.
We live here full time, since we both work on the web as freelance. In our fully organic garden we grow vegetables, saffron, Barley tobacco, a selection of hot peppers from around the world and much else. Have a look on our facebo... more inside

I mostly need help keeping the house clean (perhaps with a focus on one room a day to get it really clean/decluttered),
I also need help with the small veggie garden.
It is always nice to have someone here that is willing to give a hand in exchange for room and board.
I expect people to work a few hours a day (2 hours cleaning/garden + 1 hour cleaning up the kitchen after dinner).

I am not a very good host because I usually end up saying "don't worry about it - just relax" so I need some help with being better at getting over feeling bad about asking you to do the things I don't want to do :)

All of the work is optional (which in my opinion is how it should be - not taking paid jobs away from people) so if you want to go away for a few days while you are here that's fine.

It's also fine if you hang around the house on your days off (but I do expect normal everyday help - you things you normally have to do even if it's your day off- like eat and clean up after)

If yo... more inside

We are a socio-agricultural collective, experiencing agroecological cultivation for our consumption, for sales through alternative channels (direct sales, consumer groups, farmers' markets, etc.) and for the creation of self-income alternatives.
We cultivate about 2.5 hectares in Sa Segada, 3 km from Alghero: one part is dedicated to rotation and cultivation of seasonal vegetables; another part, separated by rows of cypress and eucalyptus trees, is used for growing trees for wood (Paulownia), beekeeping and free camping - for us and for you.
The land is surrounded by river Rio Barca in its final stretch, just before flowing into the lake Calich. We host in a camp area (space for tents, campers, caravans, etc), which also includes a kitchen area. In winter you can stay in a separate room with bath (maximum 3 people) near the garden.
It's recommended have a car if you want to discover the surroundings; Alghero is not far from here (about 4km) but the road is dangerous by bike or on... more inside

i cultivate olive-trees and keep a vegetable garden.... i need help outside and in the house, like cooking... in exchange i offer free food and living.... there is one separate room with internet available for the guest... the help would be 2-3 hours a day...
i have been living here in tuscany for 30 years. i originally emerged from professional photography and still spend a lot of my time with this subject, as well i am interested in current affairs, philosophy and history. i speak english, german, italian and french.
i am really very interested in exchanging my thoughts with my visitors and like this at the same time learning how my visitors think about how our world is developing, generally for which kind of life style they are striving for. In connection with my photography i undertake quite often excursions, like this offering my visitors to learn more about the surroundings here in italy.
