This is a family home.
2 adults Stuart and Jackie
3 children Ethan 8, Imogen 7, Amber 5.

The kind of help we are looking for is light house work. Kid playing, gardening, cooking, kitchen cleaning. Or some small handy person jobs -shelves up, hooks, etc.

We are happy to do all these but we usually have to let one or three of these go in the week to get through. If we had someone around who was present or helping with one or more of these items it would make our lives so much happier!!

We love cultural exchange.

We live right near a train station and a major shopping centre. We also have a local pool and gym (workout).
There is a room with either a single bed or two single beds. We do have a queen mattress but no frame.
Bathroom is shared with family.

We are fun family that you could join on adventures or go do your own thing. Happy for time exchange- no need for everyday if there is an opportunity to see something during the week.

Stuart speaks German, eno... more inside

Hi there,

I'm looking for someone to help out with Spring cleaning specifically clearing out the shed, moving furniture out of the house, cleaning in cupboards, the windows, all surfaces, floors. Help with throwing things away (chronic herder alert!) and starting afresh. Help with tidying up the garden, interior design and making everything wonderful.

We are a family of five, my son, neurotic cat Rosie, two guinea pigs and myself. I work as an occupational therapist both at a school and mobile so the house if filled with stuff. I offer a room but not food.

The deal: ten hours a week helping for a room rent and amenities free. You can use the kitchen obviously and groceries can be purchased nearby.

The house has three bedrooms with a large backyard. You would have your own room. There is one bathroom. The property is roughly 30min from Melbourne CBD by train and 55min on tram. The house is a two minute walk from La Trobe University and the Bundoora reserve.

If you have experience in renovations, land clearing, gardening, cleaning or are just fit and active and want to learn new things, we have something for you. We have recently moved to this beautiful rural area high on the mountain overlooking Lake Eildon next to the national park.

Water sports, bush walking, waterfalls and wineries are just a few of the things the area is noted for along with an abundance of wild life. If you have your own transport you might find it helpful as we are 20 minutes from town - however we can pick you up and drop you off some days if you don't have transport and organise to pick you up and bring you here from an agreed point.

We are only 2 hours from Melbourne and close to the towns of Eildon and Alexandra. Alexandra is the bigger town with 4 pubs, decent supermarket, coffee shops and other shops as well. Eildon has very little in terms of shopping plus 1 pub. We are also only an hour or so from skiing at Mount Buller and you can see it fro... more inside

Our place is in a stunning setting amongst the native bush and wildlife of the Strathbogie ranges. It's a great space to relax, explore, and there's often a fun local event to attend.

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 10 years old). We have a large garden, grow a lot of veggies, have an orchard of over 100 trees (every type of fruit imaginable), bee hives and about 50 free range chickens. We are both teachers (music and art) and I play saxophone in several bands most weekends (afrobeat, lots of west and South African styles, jazz, funk, soul and more), so if you like good music and visiting Melbourne, this might be a good place for you.

We have a friendly dog and a cat, and lots of beautiful friends nearby, in Melbourne and all over. There are lots of nice spots nearby for swimming (Polly McQuinns waterhole and Gooram falls), walking, riding and adventures. 15 mins to lake Eildon and an hour to skiing at Mt Buller (bus stop a few kms down the road). 30 mins to eit... more inside

Home is a large old weatherboard house in beautiful Sherbrooke, in the Mount Dandenong Ranges. This dear old place may one-day soon again become guest-house, like it was 100 years ago. Meantime both house and garden need plenty of tender loving care.

The hills are a popular destination, with native forests for walking, public gardens, villages, cafes and galleries. See: http://www.villagesofmtdandenong.com.au/

Sherbrooke itself is made up of a state forest and a mountain village. It is recognised internationally as the home of the Lyrebird, and many native birds visit us daily.

Sherbrooke is one hour drive east of Melbourne city, or 1 hour on the train from Melbourne to nearby Belgrave.

As a busy professional household this year we have been grateful for helpers' assistance with yard-work, household chores, firewood management and painting. We have a large organic home vegetable garden. Skills needed now include gardening, stonework, fencing, painting, carpentry and bui... more inside
