Gil and Diana operate a B&B in Northern Tasmania. We bought the land in 2001 and the buildings here have all been added since 2003. We are transforming our paddock with the construction of fine period buildings and a classic garden.

The opening canvas had 20+ century old European trees on 1 1/2 acres between the Village Green and the Town Common. New plantings include a 30-tree orchard, netted soft fruit garden and kitchen garden, rose and flower beds.

We need help with work on the garden, completion of house painting and decorating, and help with preparing suites after guests leave. Gil also takes slabs from fallen trees in the district and there is additional work in stacking, drying and milling the timber.

Diana is an excellent cook and Gil is a keen wood worker. We have travelled the world and enjoy sharing stories of adventures, past present and future.

On July 01, 2011 we move into the main house that has been the core of our B&B, and introduce the second cottage... more inside

Our 2.5 acre is situated in Dolphin Sands on the East Coast of Tasmania, 1 1/2 hours drive from Hobart and Launceston, pretty much in the middle. There are buses from both major centres to Swansea. Swansea is a 15 minute walk along the beach or 7 minutes drive by car from Dolphin Sands. Swansea is the closest Post Office and Supermarket with Café’s Restaurants and great Tassie history.
We enjoy the spectacular Nine Mile Beach and Great Oyster Bay with views of the Hazards of Freycinet National Park. All this is only a five minute walk from the front gate.
We are looking for help to set up a permaculture style gardens and build with alternative methods and materials. At present we have a caravan and enclosed verandah as our permanent living space. There is plenty of room for camping with you own gear or in our 10 man very comfy tent. There is electricity and water and we have a dog(female) Pinta.
We are looking for fun loving people with a sense of adventure and humor who would... more inside

I do most of the work in the orchard, but need some help with pruning. Jenny & I will provide meals (preferably with some participation in preparation) and accommodation in our house. We are expecting 15 - 20 hours work per week per person. Working times are flexible and can fit in with other activities. Aside from growing cherries, our interests are education, bush walking & food. We have 3 adult daughters who have moved away from home.
Stonecrest is a 30 minutes drive from Hobart; a 30 minute walk from Sorell; and close to the wonderfully scenic Tasman Peninsula. Come and share our life for a while.

I am looking for people who would like to stay in Taroona, a leafy waterside suburb of Hobart, from 19 May to 9 July this year. (May I just note that this period covers Hobart’s increasingly famous Dark Mofo festival!)
We are looking for people who can stay for as long as possible (ideally the whole period), please--although this does not rule out shorter stays.
The property is a beautiful self-contained one-bedroom flat (warm and sunny/modern kitchen/wireless broadband/lovely garden and water views/short walk to neighbourhood beach and nature reserves/short walk to bus line into town). The flat adjoins a house occupied by my elderly parents. There are no pets or plants to care for; the only responsibilities involve:
1) Being present at the flat overnight six nights a week in case of emergency (Wednesday nights off if you want to spend a night out of town)
2) In the evening, helping my parents with a few limited preparations for bedtime (helping take off compression stockings,... more inside

A warm home with a humble, down to earth family. Beautiful views and surrounds in a sleepy little town, full of fascinating history. We love home cooked meals and adventures in and around the rugged west coast. In return for scrumptious meals and a warm comfortable bed we would love you to help out in our garden and odd jobs around the yard.

Our ‘Eco Hobby Farm’ is 15 acres in size (6ha) and is located in the picturesque Huon Valley, Tasmania’s apple region. We propose to build a timber frame straw bale home in the near future and are currently constructing farm infrastructure in preparation.

Already we have nearly or completed 2 general purpose sheds, a chicken shed, a water tank stand, storage facility and vegetable garden - all out of roundwood timber from our land and recycled building materials sourced locally + a few pallets!

Currently we need ‘crafty’ persons who are good working with their hands. Hand tool experience, chainsaws, DIY construction etc. Endless projects big and small, currently we are finishing off a water tank stand started last year.

And of course we need experienced hands to work in and on the vegetable garden. One of the forthcoming projects is a poly tunnel, starting soon!

The ability to work independently AND as a team is essential, likewise to work efficiently and affectively wi... more inside

I live in Hobart/Blackmansbay and i travel a lot intrastate for work so my house is closed most f the times as there is no one living there.

I have a small garden which needs a bet of precise work and detailing so i need a help from some one who has an a little experience with gardening and landscaping to put the garden back in shape.
The garden is pretty small and tiled so it is all abut detailing and a bet of weeding.

I am happy to offer you food and free internet for some gardening and maybe a place to stay over night if you needed to.
