Bonjour!

Oct/Nov 17: we would be happy to host a handyman/woman for outdoor work in the garden and/or light renovation. Thank you!

We are a french family, Christian (61), Rosine (51)and Lili (14) with 4 delightful pets: Jingle and Geisha, our enthusiastic dogs and Gable and Chapati, our delightful cats.
We used to travel world wide and now have settled down in a 19th century old farm in the beautiful countryside of Pamiers, Ariege.
I work as a teacher and Christian is a data consultant. Christian plays piano and guitar. I modele clay, papier mâché, paint, sew, do mosaic. Lili loves to draw.
We are 'bons vivants' as we say in french. Easy to meet, we appreciate good company and love foreigners!

Our farm is mostly renovated. However, we have many ongoing projects: fence work in the horses fields, clear up the stables, renovate the poultry house, some gardening to embellish the premisses.

Could be done as well : light painting, washing walls and ceilings, light eco-bui... more inside

Immediate space available for the next two weeks, due to cancellation.
Welcome to our animal park in SW France. Looking for a last minute summer tan in the sunny South of France? We have space currently for someone / or two friends to help with winter preperations. Stacking wood in the wood shed, clearing hedging and the vegetable patch, helping clean out when the park is open, and generally mucking in with everyday jobs.

The work is pretty heavy so would suit someone fit and strong at a minimum able to carry a 25 kilo bag of animal feed.
You will have your own bedrooms, in the cottage attached to the house with bathroom / shower, use of washing machine and all meals prepared for you.

Sorry but we cannot take families, couples or children either.

A very warm welcome awaits in a unique setting of the House of Camels, in the grounds of what used to be a former monastery but is now an animal park. We live in an 8 bed-roomed farm house an hour north of the Pyrenees,

We are Simon (47 years old, timber framer with a small recycling business) and Frauke (51 years old, musician and amateur film maker), with two grown up daughters, both of whom are studying art, and home from time to time. Living in the beautiful Gers countryside (between Bordeaux and Toulouse), we have a large organic garden and orchard. We have dogs, cats and some geese with occasional aggression management issues.
We are looking for four hours help a day in the house, garden, and with the odd building project. No experience is necessary but smiles & enthusiasm are always welcome! We have a large wood and metal workshop, bicycles that can be borrowed, internet access available, a ping pong table, and in the summer a small swimming pool. As for accommodation, we have a room in the house to offer. We are more than happy to cater for vegetarians. We both enjoy playing music ( drums and guitar) and would welcome anyone who fancies a jam of an evening.
Looking forward to meeting you!

Hello! We are looking for strong and energetic helpers [ideally aged over 22 with some experience of work]to help with an active and varied work schedule from NOW onwards and throughout the winter. We need to do exterior work preparing composts and clearing the leaves and undergrowth and chopping wood for winter and clearing out our pond for the water recycling. Also some painting and some cleaning depending on timing. Thank you!

Our Chateau was built in the 11th century and is set amongst 20 hectares of sun-flowered fields, woods and parkland, with organic fruit gardens and a solar-heated swimming pool. The Chateau is rich with the history of Viscounts, Cathars and the Knights of the Templar. It fell into neglect following an attack by the Catholics during the 16th century Wars of Religion.

We bought it 9 years ago, to develop it using traditional building, green living and sustainable techniques.

As we are fun-loving and people oriented, we are developing the Chat... more inside

We have been in France for just over two years, starting as 'helpexers' ourselves and now living in the beautiful town of La Bastide de Serou in the foot hills of the pyrenees. Our daughter,Tilly is 9 years old and the resident french interpreter! We have a dog called Luna who is very friendly.

We need help with the renovation of our home! Nothing structural! Mostly sanding & painting.

You will stay on the top floor with amazing rooftop views There are a selection of beds to chose from and a and TV/DVD player. There is unlimited wifi.

I regularly pop into town (Foix or St Giron about 1/2hr away) and I'm happy to give you a lift, alternatively there are bikes available.

We live in a national park and you don't need to stroll far to find stunning views and beautiful walks. This region is also brilliant for climbing and cycling.
