If you love wildlife, the outdoors, great views and good food, send us an email (only emails from this site will be responded to). PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR WEB SITE LINKs ABOVE, they include some videos about what we are about. This is very much a cultural exchange (for us and for you) as you will be in our family home sharing our lifestyle.

NO SMOKERS OR VEGETARIANS PLEASE. We prefer our helpers to stay 2 weeks or more. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience.

The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 8.35Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 140km on a clear day.

We also have a tennis court (I will always give preference to tennis players who love to cook and eat great food), an outdoor ... more inside

Hi,

I'm looking for a couple, or energetic single person, from 17 to 28th January, 2018, to help me do a major clean up, and garden (butterfly jungle) weeding and some pruning.

My offer is 3 hours work per day for accommodation and 3 meals per day for 5 days per week, with 2 days off. Once I've shown you what's needed and see you have the skills to distinguish between the various plants, you are welcome to organise your time anyway you like: full days, part days, early starts, late starts, just keep me informed of your intentions.

Please read the General Information below before you consider replying.

Many thanks,
Helen

We have a beautiful 80 acre farm on the banks of a lovely river. It has a huge vegetable garden, fruit trees and an amazing river that is good for swimming (no crocs).
We have a 18 month old daughter, and Marcs dad also lives with us. In addition to the four humans that live here, we also have small flocks of chickens, ducks, geese, dairy goats, 6 cows and 4 horses. So its pretty busy, but it is also paradise :)

What we offer -
Safe, private, comfortable accommodation in a self contained cottage.
A lovely property to stay, a river to swim in and eucalyptus forests to explore.
We can teach you lots about farming organically, permaculture, regenerative agriculture, archery, photography, fire twirling, juggling, gardening, bushtucker and bush craft, cheese making, animal systems and animal care... we are always interested in learning, and like to share what we have learned.
Shared dinners.
Yummy food provided, and we welcome your input into what you want to eat. A lot of o... more inside

We are looking for helper/s to assist around the property with general tasks relating to tiding the property.

We work mornings and late afternoons only and rest during the heat of the day.

Can qualify for 2nd (second) year visa.

Forest Estate is a 20 Acre Olive Grove with 2,000 Olive trees and a variety of fruit trees, plus the usual veggies and a selection of farm animals. The Olive Grove is run on organic principles in an arid climate.

Specifically at the moment work includes whipper snipping, gardening, pruning, clearing clippings and fencing repairs. Some of this requires heavy lifting and use of equipment.

This is a great opportunity for you to experience a real slice of rural Australia, add some days towards your second year visa and earn a little travelling money at the same time.

We usually like people to stay a minimum of two weeks so we can work and complete a project. We currently have two places available.

I live in a Log cabin on one acre 2km from the beach.
It is a small town surrounded by beaches and at the start of the great barrier reef. There are 23 islands within 30 minutes boat ride. My cabin is large with a chilled atmosphere, heaps of music, a camp fire area and a bar outside as well as inside.

Painting is mostly needed.
General gardening, tree planting and housework is also required.
Accommodation is in a comfortably furnished room with a double bed and air conditioning.
Our life style is pretty chilled which includes travel, bbq's, music, kitesurfing and fishing.

Depending on what help I need,I would expect 3-5 hours per day for 3-5 days per week. I will provide food and help show you around this awesome part of Australia.

Internet is available for email log in, general browsing and transport inquiries.
