I have a spacious house surrounded by thriving food gardens, animal enclosures and small paddocks. Animals include a pony, geese, turkeys, ducks, ducklings and chickens. In the surrounding bushland there is wildlife in abundance - kangaroos, red-tailed black cockatoos, bandicoots etc.

You can learn worm farming, composting, mulching etc and gain an understanding of how to develop productive eco-systems including aquaculture (pond)food gardens, native gardens, bush tucker gardens and so on.

In exchange for 5 hours a day/5 days a week help I am happy to pass on my knowledge and skills in sustainability and environmentally friendly living as well as organic gardening and farming (I have won several state awards for my community environmental education). I will also help you with English as I am a retired literacy teacher.

We grow heritage varieties of apple trees including cider apples. We have an aquaponics system where we grow trout and veges as well as a large vege garden. We are still building so there is always something to do on the house or sheds. We live in a beautiful area with a lovely community spirit.

Places available from February 22.

We are a fledgling small holding with big dreams and plans. Having built our home in the middle of old growth Karri forest, we now have many landscaping projects and on-going maintenance to attend to. Our long term goal is self sufficiency. Helpers who are both skilled or un-skilled are welcome.

We have three lovely children and two large but elderly dogs so it's important that you like both varieties if you would like to stay with us.

Whilst we are in the middle of the forest, we are only an easy 3km walk from beautiful Denmark town. We are happy to make bicycles available to helpers if you don't have a car and initially pick you up from town if you have caught the bus. Denmark is a thriving town with many natural highlights to offer visitors - there's just so much to do!

Accommodation is provided in a separate, fully equipped house. All meals are made available to our guests: we will provide ingredients for breakfast and lunch in y... more inside

******NB UPDATE Sunday 18/2 *******

*Seeking house and dogsitter while away, Wed Feb 28 to Monday March 5 - you can possibly stay on longer after that once I return to the house, to do other work such as general cleaning and helping to lay a small area of bamboo flooring on the upstairs landing*

I'm currently open to having someone stay here on a "demi au pair" basis, willing to work part time in exchange for accommodation. Approx 2-3 hours a day.

Initially, a bit of a "blitz clean" and bit of furniture re-arranging, as I don't have the physical capacity to do this.

Tasks would include light maintenance work such as painting touch ups, cleaning, light gardening, cooking, grocery shopping, childcare, dog walking/feeding. Some shared meals and access to the fridge and kitchen facilities to cook, the rest of the time. In other words, part time home help part time house share arrangement, with access to amenities. I am not in a position to supply a... more inside

We have enjoyed the 2 year journey of building our small eco-home in Yanchep with lots of wonderful HelpXers. The site is opposite the ocean 45mins north of Perth and the build is at last in its final stages. We are now seeking helpers with building, carpentry and/or landscaping experience.

Our project has been an owner-build with Linda project managing while Ian continued with his day job (CEO at Central Desert Native Title Services).

The design of our home incorporates passive solar principles and is being built with a low cabin footprint. The construction is lightweight using SIPs and phase change materials to moderate temperatures. Water is harvested for gardens and we're using many recycled products in the build. We have 18 solar panels to power the house and our electric car.

Your room in Yanchep comes with views of the ocean and we serve mainly VEGAN food (we use eggs but no dairy).

If you love the surf, sunsets over the ocean and have lots of muscles and/or... more inside

Hi!

We need help from mid March, 2018 around my home in Perth.

We also need more specific help from Mid May until the end of July. I will be going away on a yoga retreat and need someone/couple to come to Bali with us to care for Alana five days a week, and when I need to study. Please contact to arrange something.

We are a very friendly, welcoming little mother/daughter family with a large spare room and beds available for you to use in our lovely big house. There is a reasonable sized garden, patio and a few large common spaces inside. I love to cook all sorts of varieties of food much of the time, so you would always be well fed. I always buy fresh, mostly organic fruit and veg. I am transitioning to becoming a vegetarian but still serve chicken, beef and fish, cheese and eggs, all pastured or open range for my daughter and can serve it for you too. Happy to have you help cook if you prefer this over cleaning..

So, I need help with cleaning, cooking (if you like), d... more inside

We are an Australian family looking for FRENCH speaking helpers. We lived in France for 18 months and are trying to keep up our French and share our culture. Our boys are 8 and 12.

We have a large house with nice garden and pool. We live near the bush and lovely walks are available.

We offer free board, food, WiFi, Netflix etc in exchange for 10 hours work a week. The help we mainly need is just to speak French with us and help us with our grammar and to improve! Then we would also like some help in the garden, around the house (mainly helping with meals) and walking the dogs.

We are looking for people who want to say one month minimum and who wish to be part of Australian life.

Kalamunda village is very nice, many cafes, shops and regular markets. We are about 25 minute drive from Perth city centre. You'll probably need a car as although we are close to Kalamunda, and to public transport, itís easier with a car.

Non smokers only.

We live in a house which is too big for me to keep up with. We need help with gardening, animals, window cleaning, gutters, painting and usual house stuff. At the moment I need a good painting and gardening person. We want people who like being in a rural beach location. There is a long list of jobs to suit most people that can stay for a week or just a couple of days.
We live in a very beautiful part of WA and enjoy showing people around and are pretty fit and active in the community. we are used to people staying and having cultural exchanges. Possibly if we didn't do this we could actually do all the work but it seems nicer this way round.
