Hi I'm running a unique and beautiful Bed & Breakfast with 3 luxury ensuite double rooms and a Shepherd's Hut, on the edge of Dartmoor and about 1 Km from the delightful village of South Brent, with shops and pubs. Garfield is a big quirky old house with beautiful views and a large garden.

As well as the B&B business, I play semi-professional jazz and rock around the area. It's getting a bit too much to handle!

I would love some help with preparing breakfasts, clearing and washing up, changing rooms over, cleaning and laundry. Would expect 4 hours help each day with 2 days off per week, in exchange for full lodging (i.e. food and accommodation). There are not guests every day. On days when there is no-one staying, the work would be various household tasks, including cleaning, tidying, laundry, ironing, gardening and possibly building renovation, keeping the place beautiful. I wouldn't expect you to carry out all the work for the B&B as I do much myself and also already have so... more inside

We are very lucky to live on a farm in the beautiful Lake District, just on the edge of the National Park in Cumbria. The farm dates back to the late 1600's and it has been in our family for the last 100yrs. Over the years parts of it have been renovated and added to and some parts are looking very sorry for themselves!
My mother, myself, my sister and her 6yr old son live and work on the farm running a small bed & breakfast and equestrian business. We have big plans for the place in the future, however for now we could do with a little help with day-to-day tasks. We are on the outskirts of the lovely village of Cartmel which is home to a small racecourse, several very good restaurants and it is famous for it's Sticky Toffee Pudding. You can walk into the village from the farm in just under 20 minutes or a 2 minute drive and there is a local grocery store and several pubs where you can meet friendly locals and visitors from all over the world. The nearest town is Kendal which is a... more inside

One place available immediately - December or January. 3 days or 5 days per week. Choice of housekeeping, garden or farm help.

Also there are opportunities to join us in March 2018 for periods of 3 weeks to 12 months or more. The work in January involves some spring-cleaning of our 500-year-old house and some cooking. Helping in the garden and on the farm is optional and you will only help 4 days a week (28 hours). This is a good opportunity to improve your English and lots of help will be given.

IMMEDIATE & ANYTIME: For foreign helpers already in the UK you would be welcome to join us for a day working in the garden or at the farm. A good chance to practice your English alongside native speakers. We are 1 hour by train from London, 10 minutes from Brighton, and you can choose any day that you are free to join us.

We have been growing Japanese and English vegetables since spring 2005, starting with just half an acre of land. In 2017 we will continue our drive for self-suf... more inside

Looking for someone to start as soon as possible for 1-2 weeks (maybe longer)

My 2 children (age 16 & 17), 11 hens & I live in a 5 bedroom house (building site) with a large garden & lovely views. We need someone to help with the weeding and other gardening when the weather is fine & do some housework and DIY when it's not. If you have any skills in painting & decorating, we could really use them right now. In return you'll be well fed as we love cooking and baking!

You will need to be fit & strong, like hard work & preferably know the difference between a weed & a (wanted) plant. A good dash of common sense will also go a long way. Must be a non smoker & I am afraid that I cannot host vegans. Either a single person or a couple is welcome.

We particularly love Kiwis, Australians & French speakers but if you're neither, you're still very welcome!

We live 10 minutes walk away from the local railway station which can take you to the bigger cities such as Leeds and Manch... more inside
