Hello dear HelpXer and thank you for your interest in our lovely stone farm.

This farm has been run by the Rasmussen family for 20 years and is now a very diverse organic-mekka in the region. Here we have:
- 5 hectares with over 100 kinds of vegetables
- 3000 egg laying hens
- 50 grass-fed meat cows
- 100 hectares of grain and clover
- 50'000'000 bees :)
- A teenage dog, Ronja

Everything we produce is sold through our own organic supermarket and café/restaurant.
This sales model enables us to have a very biodiverse farm and focus on old and nutritious varieties - and work very hard :)
We believe in biodiversity and an self sufficient on-farm cycle. We don't buy in any fertilizers and are almost self sufficient in feed for both the hens and the cows.

Coming here as a volunteer you will get a very hands-on experience on how to run a successful small-scale farm - and get an understanding of the work that is needed.

The work here is very diverse and you'll get... more inside

***We have all the help needed for now***

In the early spring 2015 a Group of Young people bought an old apple farm which has been running since 1938.

We are eager to bring new life to the farm amd the community. Last year we reestablished the old apple press and produced some thousands of litres of apple cider and wine.

Our Winter project this Winter is our old house, and most importantly the kitchen. This is were we need your help. So if you have some Carpenter experience, or are just all-round handy, you are very welcome to come and stay on our farm some of the cozy Winter weeks or months.

The farm is situated near Ringsted, in the middle of Zealand and Copenhagen is easily accessible by public transport. You will be eating and living with us while you are here.

Besides picking apples, making cider and tending our pigs, goats and chickens, we have some very ambitious dreams and goals which you can hear all about if you come visit.

Our interests covers everythi... more inside

We are a small, but very busy and high standard B&B ( on Trivago we have just been awarderd and are now the 5th best hotel in Denmark) on the coast of Funen in Denmark overlooking the Baltic and a large bird reserve. We also have horses and even our own beach. We are open all year, but could always do with extra help in the summer season.
We serve breakfasts and also evening meals, preferably locally sourced and we are a member of Slowfood.
Helpers are expected to help with the change-overs, which means cleaning, hovering and making beds. This can be daily, we have 3 large double rooms and a lounge. Or help me in the kitchen preparing meals. But don't worry, there will be plenty of time to explore, go for a swim, ride a horse or just read a book on the beach! While here, you will be a member of our family.
We prefer a helper that would like to stay for a longer period, -not just for a week.
Right now, we have vacancies for helpers for the 2017 season. I can only accommodate 1... more inside

We are a community build on the principles of permaculture. Our main focus is on natural building, nutrient cycling, forest gardening and local food production. We manage 20 acres of woodland and pasture that we are slowly converting into a local resource center for permaculture and natural building as well as producing food for the local market.
we are currently 5 permanent residents, a little new one on the way and 6 members living on the mainland. We are a vegetarian kitchen and do not accept homophobic, sexist and racist behavior. volunteers will be giving a thorough introduction to the permaculture principles and be able to use the knowledge on site, in planting the next step of our forest garden and managing our main garden. As a volunteer you will be a part of our community and participate in our meetings and decisions as any other member.

We are a volunteer driven project working with creating solutions for a sustainable society; incorporating energy and recycling as well as social/economic structures. We aim to make such solutions practical and scalable for application from Copenhagen to Cambodia, on land as well as on the sea.

What's Happening Right Now?
We are working on various artistic and technical projects, improving the comfort on the boats, making fun community activities to bring everyone closer together.

We welcome volunteers of all skill levels and ambition. If you have specialised skills (as an electrician, plumber, carpenter, or engineer), we would be excited to welcome you. However, it´s not the only condition.

Our Goals:
Our daily work is primarily concentrated around building ships out of recycled/organic materials to form a "Floating Course Center."

This will be a travelling platform for skill-sharing, and work as inspiration for sustainable structures and alternative organic design. ... more inside

News update:
We are in a big need of volunteers from NOW. So if you are ready to use 1-3 months in our plce to marketing our programs , we will be most gratefull!

We are a private school, specialized in preparing and educating volunteers for development projects in Africa and India. The school is situated at 80 Km South of Copenhagen, a small town called Faxe – in nice surroundings near the sea.
The school was founded in 1994 and has since then educated students for action in the Southern part of Africa and in India.
At the same place we also run a carehome and a day school for youngsters with special needs.
The school has an absolute no-alcohol, no-drugs policy which also applies to guests :)

The school and it´s guests have access to a small fitness center, sports hall, music room, art room and table-tennis.
The school is run by us who are here, students and teachers, which means we shop, cook, clean, maintain the buildings and meet challenges together.
This also mea... more inside

We are a family of 5, and we run a horse breeding farm, located on Langelang in the south of Denmark. The family consists of me Helle and my husband Torben and our three kids. On the farm we have 50-60 horses, the horses are riding horses, breeding mares, foals, training horses, stallions and horses used for riding tours. All our horses are Icelandic horses. We grown our own hay and wheat.
On the farm I(helle), my oldest son and one more person, are working daily, while other family members are joining in and helping in the summer and weekends.

Since there is a lot of different tasks to be done here on the farm, your job will vary a lot, depending on your skills and the season your here.
In the summer it will be mostly going on riding tours with tourist, there for it will be good if you have good horse and riding skills, that is being able to get the horse from the field and tack it up on your own and ride in all gaits in different tempos. There will also be outdoor cleaning... more inside

We are an alert and rich multi-cultural environment where teaching/learning takes place; inspired through studies, courses, team meetings and common meetings, and where all aspects of life at the school are debated, discussed and concluded upon. Since this school is a boarding school there are many possibilities to create a colourful and diverse environment through the meeting of many people in the daily life, through sport and through a variety of entertaining and political evening programs. Other elements worth mentioning:

Improving the Physical Environment at the School: It is a very important skill for Development Instructors (volunteers) to be able to see what needs to be done to create a good, physical environment around them. Apart from cooking, cleaning and weekly actions to maintain the school, building weekends are held 4 times per year to upgrade and renovate both indoor and out.

HELP HELP HELP
We have been let down at the last second.
we really need some one to come help harvest our apples and pears

My wife and I have started this little self sufficiency farming project about three years ago, and opened the farm shop 6 months later.
I am a relatively well know chef and local TV personalty, and my wife has her passion in gardening and vegetables. Everything that grows on our farm is used to produce fine delicacies that we sell in the shop and on local farmers markets.
Naturally our focus is on high quality food production for our shop and local restaurants.
My passion is animal welfare and high quality breeding practice's for protected species and pure bred stock.
We are looking for one person, preferably female (this is a very delicate job, where all the value is in the delicate preservation of the berries and fruits) between 25-35 to help harvest all the fruit and berries on the farm. For one or two weeks in August/September.
