We're looking for longer-term-stays beginning December ... So something like one to six months.

Begin Profile:
It's amazing how far you can travel, without leaving your home. (And hopefully the other way round: How at home can you be, while all the world from home?)

Hello There!
Bonjours, Salut!
Buenos dias!
Und Guten Tag!
(in writing i will stick to English, because the other two I can speak some, but barely write ...)

We're looking forward to your requests!
(especially on a possible long-term stay?)

About us
We're living on an organic farm, trying to make it work. As both adults lack a farming background, there's lots of stuff that we could use help with. (Therefore experience with any kind of organic farming, woodworking etc. would be of great help).

Our farm is located in south-east Styria, on a hill. We have Grasland for Sheep mostly, trying to develop a vegetable garden.

We speak English and German fluently,
French more or less fluently,

We are a family with 4 very nice kids (from 7 to 13 years),1 dog, 3 cats, some chicken and ducks.

Our mongolian yurt is big enough to give shelter for 5 people (it´s very cosy and comfortable inside). There´s also a very old caravan (that can be adapted easily) in our garden to host helpers.

We invite friendly, calm, open minded and easy going people to share some time with us.
If YOU like gardening, building different things, or help anything spontaneously, we will be very thankful for your help.
We appreciate speaking french or english to us (especially to our kids) but other languages shouldn´t be seen as obstacles either. We can share our shower, towels, washing-machine, wi-fi, food... with our helpers.
Our home is located in an amazing landscape and we´d be proud to show YOU all that magic and harmonic places around.

Live and work at a true Austrian alpine farm. Very remote!

This is for volunteers who look for a really remote place and simple life. You will be working with cows, check and repair fences at a rough, remote alpine place with stunning views and lots of wildlife.

You should be in a good physical condition, ready to walk on step mountains and not afraid of cows.

The place ist stunningly beautiful in days of good wheather. However, you will be experiencing heavy thunderstorms, stormy days and even snow in summer.

The next village is minimum one hour walk away. The place is at 1700m, the area where the animals graze is huge and step. The pastures reach up to 2000m.

You will be able to observe wildlife a lot - dear, eagle, fox and many others. It is not a commercial place tourists visit.

It is a place for true lovers of nature and lonely places and farming life with big animals.

We are a couple in our 50s who recently took the place and look for ways to run it in a... more inside

Our small homestead lies in Bocksdorf near Stegersbach in the southern Burgenland. We, Claudia and Hans, have been living on the idyllic spot since 2010. We aim for self sufficiency. Our goats, chicken and the garden are the base for that. The scattered fruit tree meadow and the forest supply us with work, but still bees, rabbits, deer, pheasants and sometimes a fox have a rendezvous. Our goal is to live in harmony with nature. We are looking forward to meeting like minded people.

You can learn milking, making Topfen (a kind of cottage cheese), destilling Schnaps and easy tasks in the forest.

Helpers will be provided meals and their own room, shower, and toilet in exchange for 30 hours of helper per week.

We look forward to receiving your message!

I am Christine and with me there live three children (born 2005, 2008, 2012). We living in a small quiet village in the Waldviertel (a region of hills and forests, 30 km away from Krems/Danube). Our home is an old farm with a beautiful garden with fruit trees, vegetables and neighbouring to a forest where I make also wood for the winter. My vision is to support ourselves with the fruits and vegetables I plant myselves. I experiment with permacultur.
We are unschoolers, as I wish the children to grow up naturally and in contact with nature.

I look for a person to help me with our garden, in the wood, to repair some things, help me with the household, cooking, and accompanying our kids (during the day and sometimes in the evening).

I can offer a tent in the garden or the sofa in the livingroom.

I would be glad, if you feel coherent with my profil, and you write to me. Don´t shy to write. :-)

Hello everyone!

This is a very different and special offer. I am an organic tanner, living in Austria/Europe.

I use stag, deer, sheep and goat and tan it without any chemicals, poison or Chrom. I only use local barks for vegetable tanning, like oak or spruce.

UPDATE:
NEW Schedule! Helpers wanted starting on Spetember 13th 2017
NEW! Horse hides arrived

If you come here you will learn:
- how to tan by hand, so that you can tan back home too
- how to dehair, deflesh, tan, soften hides to make leather
- how to tan with small machines available everywhere (e.g. washing machines)
- how handcraft tannery machines work
- see products made of rawhide and/or leather like drums, shoes, trousers, rucksack, purses and many others

Your stay should be around 4-6 weeks minimum, otherwise you will not be able to complete one full tanning cycle. The season starts in April/May until October, as it should be warm enough to tan.

Just mail me

SUMMER IS HERE! You are welcome to come help in the orchard and in the vegetable garden, in the house & around: picking tomatoes, fighting snails (peacefully!), doing housework, or repairing an old caravan...

We are a group of people living at a community farm close to the Austrian-Hungarian border. We have a vegetable garden and another 4 hectares of fruit garden, vinery and grains. What else keeps us busy? Pruning fruit trees, construction work, political activism, renting out parts of the house to groups & activists for their workshops. And mMost of us work part time in the city of Vienna.

We welcome guests & helpers from March on.
You are very welcome to bring your kids!

In summer and fall we usually have lots of guests who hang out or help with various tasks. The village is bilingual (Croatian, German) and there's a train station nearby to go to Sopron (Hungary) or Vienna. Furthermore you can go hiking or collecting mushrooms at the Gschriebenstein mountains or take... more inside

In the heart of the beautiful Austrian Salzkammergut surrounded by lakes and mountains. This is a comfortable family home offering warmth, security, welcome and a wonderful location. The help which would be greatly appreciated is with a medium / large garden requiring care, planting, a little landscaping. I have a hole in the ground which I hope will finally become a small wildlife pond and would like to create a pergola, seating area, rustic path, fencing, a gate etc. so physical strength / carpentry / landscaping / basic electrical installation skills would be very welcome. I could also use help around the house with decorating and assorted other domestic maintenance tasks. You would be very welcome to feel at home alongside two friendly cats and two friendly dogs in exchange for 20 hours help per week. The home is walking distance to the town centre and on the edge of a wood so the opportunity is to relax and enjoy quality time with many chances for recreation - swimming, rock... more inside

Hello!
We are a small family-run business consisting of Kristel&Patrick, Henriette (2,5y)&Fridolin (4,5y), at least 2 cats, 3 sheep and 13 ducks.
Formally trained as architects, we started in 2016 our organic CSA farm under the name “Paradieschen” and now this is the paradise for us and our plants.
Our farm is situated in the picturesque East Styria near the medieval Riegersburg Castle and just one hour away from the City of Graz. The area is known for its beautiful landscape but also for great food: actually the famous organic chocolate manufacture Zotter is just 15 minutes away from our place.
Most of our contributors are from Graz and we deliver there the weekly share of the crop: a great opportunity to spend some time in the City.
There is plenty to do at our farm: either on the field helping with the plants or in and around the house with housekeeping and building. Generally you can expect an average working day of about 4-6 hours, depending on the work to be done. The a... more inside
