Hello, future helpxer!

Invitation to volunteer on a Swiss dairy farm.
************************************
We are a dynamic Swiss family of five and are located in a valley in the northern part of Switzerland surrounded by Jurassic fold mountains. We are rather new on helpx, however, we've recently had some positive experience with helpxer.
We live a bit outside of a nice village with good train and bus connections to the next bigger cities.

Our children are all studying, working and have loads of exams and papers to prepare. Therefore, we’re happy to invite enthusiastic people to help us with the daily labour on our farm! After reading all the information (and if you like the sound of what we offer) please get in touch!

My husband Martin is a passionate farmer who loves his animals and the work in nature. We have about 30 dairy cows with their offspring, some sheep, chickens, rabbits and cats. Moreover, we cultivate corn, wheat and grass that need to be harvested du... more inside

Hi Guys, I move into an old Chalet in Walzenhausen.

Why not arrange your journey with a stopover in Switzerland?

I offer: you have your own room... always something in the fridge... wonderful view of Lake Constance...sun terrace... nice summer... time to enjoy the life...

I am looking for someone or two who can work like craftsmen or gardeners and could help me with all the little outside and inside jobs like gently renovate, painting, new ground, gardening, etc...

I am looking forward to hear from you.

If it fits, stay longer..

so long...
andrea

This is a project for sustainable living and culture. We did buy an old Mill on a river in the beautiful swiss mountain valley "Schangnau". Over the years we converted the old farmhouse and mill into a cultural centre (arts and music) with the possibilities for living. Currently there are six flats for all-year living, a big communal space for concerts and events, big organic gardens, wild natural surroundings for camping and guestrooms.
We look for travellers to help us maintaining the house and gardens. We look for people who want to stay one week or longer. The work will be adapted to your skills: Gardening, doing firewood, taking care of children or different building work on the houses. Couples or traveller-parties of two people are most welcome. Helpers will have their own room (wood-heating / shared bathroom) with balcony and are welcome to eat with one of the families twice a day. There is internet-access.
A small village with shop can be reached within 15 minutes. Facilit... more inside

We can host you in June, July and August.

We live on a little farm in Menzberg, a small village in the backcountry of Luzern. Our farm is at 1000 metres, near the Napf, the local mountain. There is beautiful scenery and a lot of hiking possibilities up here.
We are a milk farm, have some pigs and there are also chickens and cats around.

We are looking for helpers all year, in summer the main work is haymaking, in winter working in the forest. But there is also a lot of other things to do like maintaining buildings, gardening, housekeeping, feeding the animals, cooking... It all depends on the time of the year, your skills... But all you don't know yet you can learn here. We do a lot of handwork because our property is quite steep. So you can learn how traditional farming works in switzerland.

We are 5 people, the parents and 3 youths between 24 to 33 years. But nowadays the young people come and go and there are often just a few of us home.
We speak german, english, fren... more inside

One of Switzerland's most beautiful areas is about to become the heart of the country's 2nd ever National Park (Parco Nazionale del Locarnese). The Onsernone Valley has long attracted in-the-know visitors to its vacation homes and BnBs, but it is now poised to host lots of backpackers as well. The valley has 4 hostels that previously only accepted groups of 10 or more. The hostels are now undergoing modernization under new management and one of them will start accepting individual bookings for the 2017 season.

We are in need of 1 volunteer starting in April 2017, for a minimum of 1 month. The volunteer will help with minor tasks every day, but the focus of the position is to keep guests entertained, especially in the evenings. In exchange for very part-time work, volunteers will receive free accommodation. Volunteers will have plenty of free time for hiking, swimming, reading, socializing, and sunbathing in the sunniest part of Switzerland. What are you waiting for?

Hi there. We own an historic house (approx. 180 years old) in a small village in the heart of Switzerland. I am a semi-retired civil servant (55) and renovating the house myself. Working hours are from 8.30 to 12.00 (or to be agreed upon), Monday-Friday (or to be agreed upon). A full lunch is offered on working days from our kitchen. Due to my business travel this year, I wont be able to host all around this year. We have tp agree on dates based on your planned dates and my schedule to see if its possible on both sides.

I am currently working as a Project Manager in Switzerland around Zurich/Zug. I also travel a lot to many countries for business and to explore new places. Currently I am working on developing several startups on my own and also setting up a new company which deals with branding, design, advertising, software, architecture and visual animations. As you can see that I have to manage several things on a day to day basis which demands most of my time despite other things, I am looking for volunteers who can contribute their skills in whatever they are good at. Even a little help matters.

I am very open minded person, friendly and helping by nature. I am also a person like you who likes to meet new people, share and contribute, explore places and learn from others. I am a vegetarian and prefer... more inside
