We are happy to host you from January 2018 onwards

-------------------------------

We are a family of 5, with three kids aged 1,4 and 6. Two years ago we have bought an old thatched house in Schleswig-Holstein, in the very North of Germany. We live quite remote (5km to the next store), but it is also only 5km to the Schlei fjord and 15km to the next beach town at the Baltic Sea.

We would need someone who is experienced with interior construction, as there is a lot of renovation work coming up in the house. However, we are also looking for people who like to help with looking after our kids and people who like gardening. In summer, we want to set up a vegetable patch and help would be greatly appreciated. In addition, there is always enough work to do in the gardens. We have some 25 chicken, 2 cats and some fish in the pond.

We have both travelled a lot and speak German, English and some French. Kirsten has worked as a WWOOFer in Canada. We like the idea of having the w... more inside

Hallo!

I am looking for someone to do a work exchange for four hours a day to help me look after my gorgeous and uber loving Bordie collie Ziggy Startdust.

We are a small family with a 1 and a bit old baby.

Your tasks would be a mix of dog walking, and odd jobs (shelf assembly/montage, painting, varnishing, wallpaper removal)

This would also work well for a couple/two friends.

You will have your own room and all meals in exchange for 4 hours work per day with one full day off per week.

I live in Kreuzberg, near Schlesisches Tor (http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2008/oct/11/berlin-germany) next to the spree.

Dates available: Now, ongoing.

If you are interested, please write me a detailed request, outlining your relevant experience with dogs and children.

*** Can negotiate some pocket money too! ***

Our home is a historic watermill which nowadays offers accommodation, good food and a range of rooms for groups. The mill is situated in a beautiful area about 2 hours drive from Hamburg, Bremen, Hannover and Magdeburg. Our nextdoor neighbours are half a mile away...

Our mill is open for all kinds of workshops, but we also organize a number of workshops, mostly dancing and music.

Our animals are very important for us, wild boar, cats, ducks, chickens and horses, though unfortunately we can't offer horseriding because they're all elderly...

Other jobs include gardening, general handyman-maintenance of the house and grounds, and repairing bicycles and/or furniture. We may also ask you to help feed and muck stables for our different kinds of animals (including wild boar, ponies, chickens, ducks and cats). In the busy summer months we often need help in the kitchen with dishwashing following main meals, restocking crates of drinks for the guests (several times a day), and occa... more inside

You would like living for a while in a calm rural area in East-Thuringia with a room on your own in an old farmhouse in the middle of fields, meadows and some little woods, close to (25 km) the city of Altenburg together with actually 6 other people and a number of animals ... ?

Than you are the right person to spend some time with us here in Nischwitz.

We are Stefan (49, joiner) and Eva (51, nurse), living here in our old farm (12000 m², 4 buildings) with three of our four children (Janina 20, Paul 15, Theodor 8), our first grandson (Oscar, 12 weeks), our 3 year old horse Amina, our little goat Olga (5 months), our dog Amy (5), two cats (Mia 3, Paula 7).

From 1997 until 2013 we ran here our own joinery. As it did not work financially, we had to close down our company. Now we are both working in Altenburg, Stefan in an organisation, which tries to help people with psychic problems, me as a nurse in the psychiatric clinic in Altenburg.

To give living here in this big farm... more inside

We're a community of about 100 people (30 children included) and another 30 special children and young people who live with us.

We live in the midst of lovely woods and farmland close to the river Elbe in lower saxony/northern germany.

We try to create a place where life, friendship, knowledge and nature mingle in the most beautiful way possible – you'll meet a lot of young people, tons of things to do, fun all along and new experiences in many different ways:

organic farming with kettle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, fowl and so on, gardening both with flowers in our park-style gardens, with medical plants and fruit and vegetables, construction work, cooking, child care, bakery, dairy and so on. All of it on the background of getting to know each other, evolve, enjoy life together …

We work a lot and we expect you to have fun working hard, too. But it's satisfying and fun, because we do it together, and it's not done for profit but in order to create something new, mean... more inside

Hello there!
We are a non-profit permaculture project, building up a forest garden since `98.
We are experimenting with edible plants and methods for self-sufficiency to learn about how to grow foods in alternative, sustainable and vegan ways.

Interested people can join in for a shorter or longer stay. We do not live together, but we have a small office room in Verden that we share for working and cooking and where up to two guests can sleep.

We organize our food together and offer guests to join in. We can not offer food for free because we don't make any money with the project but depending on the time and availability we can offer harvested food and also food that we got donated or from dumpsterdiving. Other than that we would welcome if you could support us with food or a little donation up to your capabilities.

We aren't too fixed on working times since we are all volunteering and trying to be a project that is open... more inside

Hello My name is Rasmus.
Originally i come from Denmark but now i live in Wendland, Lower-Saxony where i have a Timberframed House which i am renovating.
My profession is Carpentry, and i prefer to use building-materials which traditionally has been used over time such as Clay, Wood, natural stones etc. Actually im recycling the House and there is some work to do :) This place is also a place for Creative people, such as Artists and musicians. I myself play music, make Ceramics And i Like to Cook;) Feel that my task is to create a place were People can meet and learn from each other..

Prezier is a qute little roundabout-village with 59 inhabitans, and with a great community. It is said that prezier is over 1000 years old and there is clearly some hints that the village was established in a time where Christianity was not present here.

Im fluent in English, German and Danish/Norwegian.

Hope to see you soon :)
Best regards
Rasmus

Hello there!

We are Moni and Juergen, an open minded married couple(both 50 years) and we are running our own business where we grow and harvest flowers but are specialized of growing roses for more than 23 years now in a small village in the black forest.
We live here in the village called Schmieheim with our dog Lilli. Schmieheim is located 40 km north of Freiburg – it is a beautiful area with many things to discover.
Both of our children are studying in Munich and Bulgaria and visit us regularly.
Our daughter was a helper herself and she made a lot of great experiences, too.

We bought our house a few years ago and are renovating constantly but mostly in winter from december to march while running our business as well and for that we are looking for people who are motivated and have some (at least basic) knowledge of renovating. From March to October we are looking for someone who wants to help us outside on the fields and selling our products on the farmers market which ... more inside
