A large 3 bedroom family home, with separate mudbrick studio, set in the lovely bushy, semi-rural area on Eltham, 25 kms to CBD. Resident owner is a friendly 73 year old who is a keen gardener, painter, musician, teacher and advocate. Family members visit regularly on weekends.

The property is in a beautiful part of Eltham, next to historic artist colony of Monsalvat, and with nearby walks along the Yarra river.

Transport: Eltham is 25 kms to CBD. The train station is 2.6 kms, so a 30 min walk or 10 mins by bike. The whole trip from Eltham to the CBD takes about 1 hour by public transport, or 40 mins by car. Eltham is a half hour walk from the home.

You would stay in the comfortable bungalow, which has a king-sized bed and woodfire heating. The kitchen and bathroom for use are in the house. Wifi is available. Meals can be provided, or you can cook for yourself if preferred.

Short-term stays (between 2 day - 1 week, to be negotiated) to do general maintenance needs, suc... more inside

It is nearly Summer!! The oceans are looking good! Lakes Entrance is BEAUTIFUL! Come and stay, work and play!!

SO much is brewing!

We will be:

Creating a brand new vege patch and orchard, also keeping the lawns cut.

Looking to do some cob building, learning all about rocket mass heaters!

Creating a tea-tree fence.

We work a 5 hour day, five days a week, and then take the weekends off, so at the very minimum one week but we prefer longer stays. Starting at 8am, getting done by 1pm, means there is still a lot of time for the beach near by!! Or walks in the bush... or... whatever you enjoy!

We are looking for a couple, with their own transport, (just had our first couple with their own car and it's been AWESOME). Families are welcome too!. Speaking truly effective English is important as there are some really dangerous tasks if not properly understood.

Current Accom: We have a seperate room from the house, with a double bed. There's a tv and dvd player and p... more inside

Hi there!

To stay at my farm you need a car as there is no public transport.
I am currently looking for help to finish paint the house and shed on the outside, build garden beds, plant trees and shrubs, help with the cooking and household chaws.
Further projects: a house extension, glasshouse with composting toilets, recycle water station under a bathroom. Building swales (permaculture principles) for better water retention, planting food forest. Building pergolas, wicking garden-beds, paving,...

Location:
Mia Mia is only 1 hrs drive from Melbourne. My property is situated in central Victoria, the house is on a plateau overlooking a picturesque valley with views of Mt Alexander. There are beautiful big gum trees perfect to spend a lazy afternoon in the shade. There is typical central farmland with big boulders surrounding this peaceful little property. There is lots of wildlife to see and dirt roads for lovely bike rides.

Hi, We have a 20 acre property located in the Central Victorian wine growing region of Heathcote, about 110 kms from Melbourne. (easily reached by bus from Melbourne CBD) At the moment we have an orchard and large vegetable garden and have established a small vineyard growing Tempranillo. Ideally we are looking for native Spanish speakers to help us learn the language in preparation for our trip next year but also to help with some easy jobs like painting, gardening etc for a few hours a day..if we feel like It!
We are 100% Off Grid and endeavour to live very sustainably in every way. We specialise in cooking delicious meals and also have a swimming pool to cool off in Summer so come and enjoy great Australian hospitality amongst the bush and kangaroos!
Looking for help from Jan 2017.
We hope to hear from you,
Evan and Wendy

This is a old fashioned mixed farm. We have a flock of Khaki Campbell ducks which produce duck eggs which we sell to local restaurants and green grocers. We also have a focus on small-scale, free-range, sustainable, ethically raised meat and there is a flock of sheep, some Angus cattle and Percy, Harriet and Georgia, our breeding boar and sows, along with possible piglets depending upon when you come. There's also three horses, chooks and two dogs to complete the menagerie. Oh and kangaroos and echidnas are regular visitors.

You will have a studio style accommodation to yourself. (Double bed - suitable for couples). Free wifi. Ideal for us is two 4 hour days of work / week in exchange for the accommodation. Mostly you would self-cater but we would share a meal once or twice a week.

Hello beautiful people!
We need help with growing organic vegies and general gardening and cooking for 2 hours each per day or two days per week, either is fine.
We have a beautiful mudbrick cottage on 1 acre near Tecoma in the Dandenong Ranges. (15 min walk to Tecoma train station, 1 hour to city). We have an organic vegie patch and big garden that need lots of love.
You would be sleeping in a large Tipi tent in the garden we will provide the tent and bed and bedding. You will also share the cottage with us, and have use of the bathroom, kitchen and shared communal areas.
As we only need help for two days per week or a few hours per day, we do not provide food, but we ask instead that you pay $50 each per week to join in with the communal cooking, so there will always be food available, but you need to pay $50 each per week. (We eat organic food).
We are seeking a gentle, calm, earthy open-hearted, spiritual, generous, wholesome, healthy, community minded people to live... more inside

Helpers stay with us (and our friendly white labrador dog Bindi) in our large self-built home and food is provided. Internet and landline phone available but not mobile.
10 minutes to ocean beach and Apollo Bay town.
We need help up to 30 hours per week with our vegetable and house gardens, and with our cattle sheep alpacas and chickens. Also with planting and/or caring for our large re-afforestation project.
Bill is a keen cruising and racing sailor and helpers have the opportunity to join in, weather and time permitting.

Hi! I'm setting up an accommodation/events space in Dry Diggings. I hope to plant a wicked veggie garden, clean up the property, build a cabin and renovate a caravan.

I live on the property with my dog and in the new year a few chooks. I'm very welcoming and hope to meet new people from all over the world.

I will provide a nice bed and good food to eat. In exchange for help around the house and property. This is just a small project, so I wont expect many hours of work.

I drive so I can pick you up from Daylesford or Ballarat.

I also run a food truck and do regular gigs around Victoria. This is a great way to see the country and meet some wonderful people.

I'm looking for positive and energetic people to stay with me. If you are into cooking, cleaning, building, gardening and going on adventures, please get in touch.
