WE ARE NOT ABLE AT ACCEPT ANY HELPERS AT THIS TIME, BUT PLEASE DO COME BACK TO US IN THE FUTURE. Written. 03/10/2016.

Hello. We're Kezz & Nathalie, a mid 30's business partnership and couple with a very large under managed woodland to reinstate. We work the forest to source timber from which we produce firewood, charcoal, and speciality pieces all of which we sell locally. We're a bit alternative, and although we run a forest woodland based business which we love and have worked tremendously hard for, we're also both free spirited creative types and enjoy much that life can offer. Nathalie also works as a dancer and model and Kezz writes music for recording artistes and bands. We've recently completed our self built off grid timber and straw bale house, and are now finding this has also provided new working opportunities.

We live 3 miles outside a small village on the Northumberland coast, surrounded by sea, moors, forests and hills. It is truly beautiful area and suits pe... more inside

We are an educational charity and centre for learning about low-impact living, run by a resident community with the help of short- and medium-term volunteers.

The Charity owns a Victorian mansion built in 1848 which currently serves as B&B accommodation for participants on courses offered at the centre, as well as other visitors. The grounds include a Victorian walled garden and fruit garden and small working farm as well as terraced lawns, woods, pasture and a stream.

We are looking for volunteers to help run the B&B house and grounds in return for food, lodging in volunteer accommodation, and a taste of communal living. Daily jobs include housekeeping, assisting in the main kitchen, gardening, helping the dairy farmer and maintenance work such as construction, decorating and organising. Some of the work is physically demanding and volunteers will usually rotate between different jobs according to current necessity, working roughly 35 hours per week, with two days per week o... more inside

Hi!

We are Angie & John, a couple in our fifties with a large garden, a dog and two cats. We enjoy having people from around the world to stay and sharing cultures.

We would like a couple that enjoy being outdoors and working on the land. It would be a plus if you have interests in permaculture and organic gardening.

We have a permaculture garden in the process of construction. The work will mostly be on the garden, accept on the rainy days where there would be a few odd jobs around the house such as seed sewing, cooking dinner, painting and dog walking. We try to keep the work interesting and varied. We expect 4-5 hours a day 5 days a week, with two full days off.

Stroud is a small town with plenty of countryside to explore, with beautiful scenery and alternative culture.

Look forward to hearing from you

Angie and John

CHILDCARE HELP WANTED by a family living in part of a beautiful Medieval manor house in the Devon countryside. Some childcare experience would be preferable and a driving licence is essential.

We are both busy freelancers working in the film industry and have two boys aged 11 years and 3 years. We are looking for a helper who would like to offer after school help with our boys probably between 3-6pm. A little bit of housework would also be great. It wouldn't amount to more than 5 hours a day with weekends free.

We cook good healthy food, mostly vegetarian and you would have your own room and bathroom in the house.

We are two miles from the nearest village so it would suit helpers with their own transport or there is a bus. The closest village is Dartington and we are also about three miles from the town of Totnes. We are also close [but not walking distance] to great beaches and to Dartmoor.

We are looking for help between October and December.

We are looking for friendly and outgoing helpers to exchange your help for food and accommodation. We want you to feel like part of the family, be polite, make cheerful conversation and have fun.

Maralyn has multiple sclerosis and sadly is now in a wheelchair unable to eat by herself (she now has carers to assist her) so my daughter suggested I welcome helpers.

We would be grateful for help with cooking gardening, housework, horse care, DIY, hedge cutting, brick laying, wood chopping etc.. Our daughter and granddaughter (3 yr old) so you will be someone who is mature, likes children and have a lot of patience.

We have a green house and a vegetable patch and two retired horses. 6 acres of our land are used for our horses and we have 4 acres of land which we would like to develop for an interesting use eg food forest, woodland, etc.. Any suggestions are welcome.

We have shared breakfast, lunch and dinner times together when we can and you need to be someone who will ... more inside

Hi, I'm a self employed single mum with two lovely children (ages 8 & 5) who are educated at home. We have a fairly laidback and alternative lifestyle though I never have enough time to get everything done. I'm just finishing training to be a massage therapist, which is stretching my time even more.

I'm looking for non smoking, energetic and enthusiastic helpers who are happy to do whatever is needed around the house, garden & at our allotment for 4-5 hours a day. This could be anything, but is most likely to be doing the housework for me (cooking our evening meal, cleaning, lawn mowing, etc). You'll need to be competent, flexible, happy to work on your own and enjoy hanging out with children!

In return you'll have accommodation in your own room and three meals a day. We eat a mixture of organic & non organic foods, some homemade and some shop-bought. We go on daytrips most weeks to explore the local area, which you'd be welcome to join us on. We have wifi you can use bu... more inside

I am looking for enthusiastic helpers to help me finish my 'tropical garden' and patio. Most of the ground work is done but there will be some digging and levelling, not too much heavy work. Skills such as carpentry or permaculture or gardening and advantage but a good attitude is more important. Planting and sorting borders.I have a old cat, 8 month old puppy and 20 yr old son. Semi vegi friendly family home, great coastal town, smoking and drinking not a problem! Buzzing, youthful, arty, gay friendly Central Brighton and the sea is 15 mins away by regular bus. 15 mins from the South Downs for fantastic country views and walks. Happy to be flexible on arrangements about working hrs and food etc

October (2016) is planting season! I have a wildflower area to seed and ready to lay a clover lawn. Some work also needed to turn lots of railway sleepers into a retaining wall.
